Lipoma: causes, main symptoms and ways of treatment

Lipoma is a benign neoplasm that occurs in the connective tissue of the subcutaneous tissue. But there are cases when it reaches the muscles and vessels. Lipoma, the causes of its occurrence are poorly understood, therefore it is extremely difficult to single out specific sources provoking the formation of a tumor.

Places of its localization are different: any part of the body can be affected by this ailment. Often in the process of formation, the lip involves fatty tissue, so they are popularly called zherovikov. The risk group can include women of the age category from 30 to 50 years. Threat to life or health is a neoformation is almost not, so removal may be needed in terms of discomfort, in terms of aesthetic appearance. Separation of a part of a fatty layer into a certain capsule can be called a "lipoma", the reasons for its formation consist in the blockage of sebaceous ducts.

This new growth occurs both in the form of a single tumor, and in the form of multiple manifestations. If there is more than one lipoma, then lipomatosis is diagnosed, which is characterized by excessive accumulation of fat cells in the tissues of the skin. And the weight and composition of a person does not play any role. Even with general leanness, there may be an increase in adipose tissue.

Lipoma: causes

There are still a lot of disputes and opinions on this topic. While experts could not come to a common opinion. If we talk about the classification of sources of such pathologies as lipoma, the causes are divided into three general groups. The first version says that the adolescents arise in connection with the problems in the endocrine system - the violation of metabolic processes and hormonal background leads to such consequences. According to the second theory, the causes of the appearance of lipoma lie in human genetics, possibly a hereditary predisposition. The third group includes such factors of influence as unfavorable ecological conditions, constant stresses and depressive states, as well as disruption of the digestive and nervous system. Blockage of the sebaceous ducts can lead to a diagnosis such as a lipoma. From the point of view of traditional medicine, the causes of this ailment are also found in a large number of slags that are not excreted and are toxic.

Lipoma: Symptoms

Neoplasm of this nature does not affect the health of a person, so it can be detected only through external examination. At palpation the patient does not experience painful sensations, and the tumor has a soft and elastic structure. Characteristic is the contour around this formation, since it has distinct edges.

In diammertium, the usual lipoma reaches ten centimeters. However, there are cases when its size is comparable to the head of a newborn child, then it is customary to talk about a giant tumor. When diagnosing, you should pay attention to the localization of the lipoma. As a rule, its formation takes place in the region of accumulated adipose tissue.

Despite the fact that the lipoma does not pose any danger to human life and health, it is necessary to follow the process of its growth. A huge tumor begins to sag under the weight of its own weight, gradually the skin is stretched, and the so-called leg, on which the lipoma is held, is formed. The appearance of the stem testifies to the rupture of blood vessels and the disturbance of blood flow, which leads to the death of cells and the formation of pus.

If you do not give proper attention to this situation, then transformation into liposarcoma (a tighter tumor, but already of a malignant nature) can occur. To get rid of a lipoma it is possible only by means of its removal by a surgical way.
