Biography

Robert Scott Niedermayer was born in August 1973 in the Canadian city of Edmonton. He is not the only hockey player in his family: his younger brother Rob plays in the NHL for the "New Jersey Devils", and cousin Jason Stradwick stands for Edmontonton Oilers.

Professional career

Scott Niedermayer in 1989 was drafted by the club "Kamloops Blazers", performing in the Western Hockey League. Already from the first season, the 18-year-old defender showed himself as one of the most promising players of the tournament. The next season was a record for Scott.
