Learning how to draw a mermaid
The mermaid is a mythical creature, and legends about it exist in every country. According to Slavic legends, mermaids are girls and women who drowned because of unhappy love. Their souls sometimes come out of the water and lure men into the abyss.
These souls look like ordinary women with loose hair and white attire. But the more famous and attractive mermaid form is half-woman-half-fur, which is absolutely beautiful and entices seamen with their marvelous singing for sure death. It is this mermaid that we will learn to paint today.
Since this creature is half a woman, then in its image it is necessary to observe human proportions, so that the tail does not turn out either too long or too short. Therefore, before drawing a mermaid, you can schematically outline a woman's body, but given that her legs, in whatever position she is, should be closed. We first outline the character's head, his body and arms: they are no different from the usual female parts of the body. The tail of our heroine should begin approximately on the line of the hips, just below the navel.
Before drawing the mermaid further, it is worth paying attention to the fact that its tail can be bent back or to the side. If you have seen and remember how the fish swim, try to give the mermaid tail the same movement (unless, of course, you do not sit on a rock or lie on the shore). Most strongly, the tail is bent in the place where the normal person has knees. It ends where the person's feet begin, that is, around the ankle bones. It is from this place that you can now start drawing tail fins. Here your imagination can tell what form they will be: maybe, like a dolphin, it can, like an exotic aquarium fish.
The next step, how to draw a mermaid - is to erase all unnecessary and auxiliary lines, coloring.
