In a field or on a meadow, you can often see a tall plant with large leaves with catchy flowers. This meadow goatbreeder is known for its useful properties. Experienced gardeners grow it not only for decorative purposes, but also for eating, as well as preparing medicinal infusions and broths.

Description of the plant

This biennial plant belongs to the family of astroids and its appearance resembles a giant dandelion, reaching up to one meter in height. The branchy, pink-tinged peduncle of the goatbreeder is covered with linear-lanceolate bright green leaves with a bluish tint. In the flowering period, which begins in May and lasts for one month, large baskets with ligulate flowers of golden-yellow color appear on the plant. Then seeds are formed in their place with long tufts in the form of fluffy balls. For their similarity to a goat beard, and this plant received its name.

Despite the fact that the native land of the plant is the Mediterranean, in Russia, for a long time, a meadow goatbreed has been known. Its popular names sound like "oat root", "white root", "fucking beard". The plant has its own interesting features:
