Keneksi Crystal Smartphone: review, specifications, description and reviews of the owners

Recently, smartphone enthusiasts have split into two camps: one proves that a large display is a huge advantage and vast opportunities, others do not explicitly recognize gadgets more than five inches, considering their models an ergonomic peak of comfort along with convenience.

But the truth, as they say, is hidden somewhere near. No doubt, the big screen is more convenient to work with, but not every manufacturer is able to make an apparatus that is as balanced as possible in price and in its characteristics in terms of management and operation. However, the exception to the rule is not so rare in the smartphone market, so the Keneksi Crystal series can be considered as such. The device can be attributed to the budget segment, because the model is relatively inexpensive (about 8 thousand rubles) and carries a good potential, which can and should be of interest to a potential consumer.

So, the hero of today's review is the smartphone Keneksi Crystal. Let's try to disassemble all its advantages along with shortcomings, taking into account the opinions of specialists and reviews of ordinary users.

Appearance

After turning the device for a few minutes, we can say that the model was created with a clear glance at the gadget from the Samsung Galaxy Note. In principle, nothing wrong with this, after all imitation of the best (and this is the fact that the ruler provided itself with the title of the best tablets of our time) is itself commendable. Even if we take into account such a significant indicator as the quality of the assembly, the Keneksi Crystal phone does not lag behind its older "cousin" in any way.

Similarity with the Korean analog is especially noticeable due to the design of the back panel of the device a-la leather: imitation is visible not only in the "stitching", but also in the most textured figure. But in fact, the back side of the gadget, as well as the Samsung, is made of plastic.

The face of the smartphone, although remotely, but somewhat resembles the lineup of Huawei. But the format of modern gadgets simply does not allow other design frills, so, whatever one may say, it's quite difficult to come up with an original design for the "face" of the device - they are all of the same type.

Nevertheless, Keneksi Crystal Black also has its own distinctive design features along with individual notes. Along the entire perimeter of the front of the smartphone is stretched a metal frame, giving a sense of solidity, reliability and, probably, security. If you consider the device in profile, you can see that the frame, firstly, consists of two parts, and secondly, quite thick, and this is undoubtedly an original and interesting solution.

In general, metal tricks are widespread in the design of Keneksi Crystal. The phone's review showed that the speaker grilles are made of metal, the micro-USB connector is covered with a metal plate, and even the screws securing the half of the case are made of the same material.

Build quality

Judging by user feedback, bench tests and the previous paragraph, it's safe to say that the build quality of Keneksi Crystal Black is at an altitude to which some favorites from Sony, Samsung and Lenovo could not rise. If we take into account also the big screen together with the cost, then it's easy to make an unambiguous conclusion - the model has no competitors in its segment.

The only thing that some users complain about in their reviews is the reverse side of the "hobby for metal" - the weight of the device has reached the mark of 200 grams and is clearly felt in the hand.

Under the cover, just above the battery, you can see two SIM card slots and one for micro-flash drives, which, it should be noted, should be very careful. It's all about the layout, specific to the Keneksi Crystal line. The characteristics of the slots are easy to confuse: the lower one is designed for mini SIM cards (that is, a full-sized SIM), then there is a micro-SIM card and closes their slot for micro-flash drives. In any case, before something is stuck somewhere, it's better to flip through the manual - it will not be superfluous.

The configuration of the case is standard: the volume rocker and the On / Off key are moved to the right side of the device, and the headset jacks and the charger connector are located on the top of the smartphone.

At the top of the Keneksi Crystal display are functional sensors and a front camera along with LED indicators that are responsible for pinging events and gadget states. Touch buttons are located below the display, which for the "Android" system means a significant saving of space on the screen.

Hardware platform

The hardware base of the device is one of the most common SoC platforms from the MediaTek MT6582 series. It fits perfectly into the general architecture of Keneksi Crystal. Reviews about the new platform (2013 in.) Are very flattering: it has not lost its urgency and provides the smartphone with relatively high performance with relatively low power consumption.

The platform includes an ARM Cortex-A7 processor on four cores with a clock speed of 1.3 GHz and a dual-core video chip of the Mali 400MP-2 series at 400 MHz.

Through the SoC platform, the work of GSM, Wi-Fi, 3G-modem and wireless Bluetooth. Everything in this list works like a clock, and there are no complaints.

The amount of built-in flash memory Keneksi Crystal for all modifications is 8 GB, of which the user is available for its programs and files about 5.5 GB. The device's operating memory is 1 GB without the possibility of expansion.

Software platform

The smartphone runs on the operating system platform "Android 4.2.2" with stock firmware by default MDLY МР.11 Р4.

The interface of the latest OS has received a number of modifications, which are mainly directed to the cosmetic channel (multicolored icons in menu items, more precise outlines of icons, etc.).

Pressing the context menu button on the main screen calls up a detailed customized section at the bottom of the display where you can perform the basic setup of the desktop: change the theme, select wallpaper, add items, and more.

User reviews mark one interesting feature, which they liked very much in the Keneksi Crystal model. An overview of the screen at the time of locking allows you to instantly launch the camera, dialer or SMS editor, which is very convenient.

Display

The smartphone screen is the highlight of the model. Its main advantages are high brightness and good viewing angles. The modes work quite adequately, although the automatic brightness sometimes overestimates the values, but it is difficult to name the defect, rather - a distinctive feature of the device.

The display can simultaneously support up to five touches, which is abundant enough for both games and serious work. The resolution for a 5-inch gadget is normal - 1280 by 720 pc, as well as the density of dots. The display does not load the GPU, working with confidence and stable, which can not be said about analogues with Full HD-development.

Camera

Model Keneksi Crystal is equipped with two types of cameras: front with a resolution of 2 megapixels and main - 8 megapixels. The main camera has autofocus and maximum aperture at F / 2.4.

The quality of the photo and video from the front camera is quite enough to communicate on Skype. The main camera of the smartphone can shoot more or less high-quality photos with video thanks to autofocus and a high-speed lens.

Performance and battery

Performance smartphone by modern standards is very good. The software from An Tu Tu shows good results, estimating the device in 19000 integral points. Similar programs give similar results - a solid average level.

Games on the device are relatively fast, and if 2D applications literally "fly", then programs loaded with 3D graphics may experience some problems like jerks and FPS subsidence.

In terms of battery life, the model showed itself in a very good light, even despite such a large display. Charging lasts a long time, and in normal modes the phone can last about two to three days.

Summarizing

The Keneksi Crystal smartphone is an extremely balanced device, which in our time is, rather, an exception than the rule. High-quality assembly, large and bright display with IPS-matrix, excellent battery life and extremely pleasant price make this device very attractive, especially for such money to find something really worthwhile in this segment is very difficult.

The verdict is unambiguous - we recommend you to buy.
