Often at the table one should also please small gourmets. It is especially difficult to come up with a children's menu. The dishes should not only be tasty, but also beautiful, to arouse the interest of the kids and arouse their appetite.

The most difficult menu item is dessert. Standard cake is interesting for kids only when blowing candles. And then the kids start to get bored at the table, picking off a piece or two from the holiday cake. A real salvation can be ice cream and jelly with fruit. The recipe for jelly is very simple. Therefore, special attention should be paid to the artistic design of the dish.

You can use a variety of fruits and berries to make jelly. Especially appropriate will be citrus fruits: oranges, tangerines. Also suitable are apples, pears, plums, apricots. Especially delicious jelly is obtained with cherries, strawberries, currants and cranberries.

Prepare jelly with fruit. Recipe

For the preparation of dessert, the recipe can be changed depending on what fruits and berries are used.

General recommendations and proportions are as follows:

To prepare 5 portions of jelly from a fruit and berry assortment we will need:

  • Juice or compote (apple, raspberry, cherry) - 600 ml;
  • 300 g of berries (you can use 3-4 species in equal proportions);
  • 1 sachet of gelatin.

We make gelatin in a small amount of juice or compote, we get a lot of gelatinous consistency. Then add the remaining juice or compote. You can add sugar if the selected juice is not sweet enough. Warm the liquid until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Then distribute the fruit and berries for serving glasses or kremanki and pour the resulting syrup. We leave to cool in the refrigerator for 5 hours.

If you want to put jelly on saucers, then the shape needs to be slightly scalded, then the jelly will slip off with ease.

If you cook jelly only from apples, then you can not use gelatin at all or add a little. This is due to the fact that apples are naturally rich in pectin. Pectin is a natural thickener. It is based on, for example, a real apple natural marmalade. Naturally, if you are preparing a dessert for the youngest guests, it is better to do without gelatin, or minimize its quantity, and use apple juice. Apple juice should just boil with sugar and let cool.

Jelly from tangerines

Especially delicious and piquant is jelly with fruit, the recipe of which includes citrus fruits. Oranges or tangerines are best.

The flesh of mandarins should be crushed and mixed with honey. Instead of juice, you can use syrup from canned tangerines. And you can cook a decoction of peel and mandarin pulp, mixed with gelatin and sugar. Shred the pulp with the resulting broth and put it to cool. In jelly with fruit (a recipe for adults) you can add lemon or orange liqueur.

Instead of molds and glasses, you can use a semi-circular bowl made of mandarin or orange skins, into which jelly is poured. By the way, such molds from a peel look very beautiful with jelly of contrasting color, for example, cherry.

Berry jelly. Cranberry

Jelly from cranberry Can be made not only tasty, but also very useful. To do this, you need to make a syrup with sugar, mix with gelatin, as indicated in the recipe, and then pour in fresh cranberry juice. Thus, all vitamins will be preserved, and on the table you will have a surprisingly bright and useful dessert.

Such wonderful desserts you can please not only children, but adults, indifferent to the sweet table.
