Japanese death camps. "Detachment 731"

At one time in the hills of Manchuria began to work a terrible plant. As a "raw material" they used live people. And the "production", which was produced in this place, could wipe out all of its population from the face of the earth in a relatively short period of time.

Peasants never approached this territory without special need. It was not known to anyone that the "death camps" ("Detachment 731") were concealed in Japan. But there were many eerie rumors about what was happening there. It was said that terrible and painful experiences were conducted there over people.

The special "Detachment 731" was a secret death lab where the Japanese invented and tested the most horrible variants of torture and annihilation of people. Here, the threshold of endurance of the human body, the boundary between life and death, was determined.

The Hong Kong battle

During the Second World War, the Japanese captured that part of China, which is called Manchuria. After the famous battle near Pearl Harbor, more than 140,000 people were taken prisoner, one in four of whom was killed. Thousands of women were tortured, raped and killed.

In the book of the famous American historian and journalist John Talland described a large number of cases of violence prisoners by the military. For example, in the Hong Kong battle, local English, Eurasian, Chinese and Portuguese fought off the Japanese attacking them. Just before Christmas, they were completely surrounded and captured on a narrow Stanley peninsula. There were many slaughtered, wounded and raped Chinese and British medical workers. This became the humiliating end of the reign of Britain on Chinese territory. More terrible character was peculiar only to the atrocities of the Japanese against the prisoners who are still trying to hide Japan. "Factory of Death" ("Detachment 731" and others) - among them.

Death camp

But even all together atrocities were nothing compared to what the Japanese did in this unit. He was not far from the city of Harbin, in Manchuria. In addition to the fact that "Detachment 731" was a death camp, it was also the site of various experiments. On its territory, studies of bacteriological weapons were conducted, for which the living Chinese population was used.

In order for leading Japanese specialists to fully engage in the solution of the tasks, they needed lab technicians and average technical personnel. To this end, talented teenagers were specially selected in schools, who were eager to learn, but were poor. With them, they conducted a very fast training in discipline, after which they became specialists and were part of the technical staff of the institution.

Characteristic features of the camp

What did the Japanese "death camps" hide? "Detachment 731" was a complex, which consisted of 150 structures. In the central part of it was a block R0, where experiments were conducted on living people. Some of them were specifically injected with cholera bacteria, typhoid fever, anthrax, plague, syphilis. Others were pumped with horse blood instead of human blood.

Many were shot, burned alive with the use of mortars, detonated, bombarded with huge doses of X-rays, dehydrated, frozen and even burned alive. No man survived from those who were here. They killed absolutely all of whom fate brought to this concentration camp "Detachment 731".

Criminals are not punished

On the part of the United States, an amnesty was declared to all Japanese doctors and scientists who carried out atrocities at that time. According to the results of the conducted research, the one who founded the "Detachment 731" - the general-lieutenant Siro Ishii and the people surrounding him - was amnestied right after the fall of Japan in 1945. For their exemption from punishment, these individuals were paid by giving the US authorities complete and valuable information about the results of the tests.

Among them, "field tests" were conducted, during which civilians of China and Russia were infected with deadly bacteria of anthrax and plague. Because of this, they all died. When the surrender of Japan was due in 1945, the head of Shiro Ishii decided to kill absolutely all prisoners in the "death camps." The same fate was provided for employees, security guards and members of their families. He himself lived until 1959. The cause of the death of Shiro Ishii is cancer.

Block R0

Block R0 is the site of the Japanese doctors' experiments. Prisoners of war or local aborigines took part in them. In order to prove the existence of immunity to malaria, Rabaul's doctor injected the blood of guards with prisoners of war. Other scientists have been studying the consequences of injecting a variety of bacteria. They dismembered their experimental subjects in order to determine the nature and characteristics of this or that effect.

Some people were specially gunshot wounded in the stomach. Then they practiced pulling bullets, amputating human organs the Japanese. Detachment 731 was also known for a very common experiment, the main essence of which was to cut out a part of the liver of living prisoners. This was done in order to determine the limit of endurance.

When two of the prisoners attempted to escape, they were shot through their legs, dismembered and cut out the liver. The Japanese said that they had to observe the working human organs for the first time. However, despite all the awfulness of these operations, they considered them to be very informative and useful, as well as the "Detachment 731" itself.

It was also such that the prisoner of war was tied to a tree, tore his hands and legs, cut his body and amputated his heart. Some prisoners were removed part of the brain or liver in order to see if they can live with an inferior organ.

They were mistaken for "logs"

There were several reasons for placing this Japanese concentration camp - "Detachment 731" - on the territory of China, not Japan. These include:

  • Compliance with the secrecy regime;
  • In the event of force majeure circumstances, the population of China, rather than the Japanese, was put under attack;
  • The constant availability of "logs", necessary for conducting lethal tests.

Medical workers "logs" were not counted as people. And none of them showed even the slightest sympathy for them. Everyone was inclined to think that this is a natural process, and so it should be.

Features of the experiments

The profile type of experiments on prisoners is the plague test. Shortly before the end of the war, Issya produced a strain of plague bacteria, the virulence of which was 60 times greater than normal.

The method of carrying out the experiments was approximately the same:

  • People were locked in special cages where, because of their small size, they could not even turn around;
  • Then prisoners of war were infected with infection;
  • Observed the changes in the state of the organism;
  • After this, the preparation was performed, the organs were taken out and the features of the spread of the disease within the person analyzed.

Manifestations of the highest degree of inhumanity

At the same time, people were not killed, but they were not sewn up. The doctor could follow the changes for several days. At the same time, you did not have to bother yourself again and carry out a second autopsy. In addition, absolutely no anesthesia was used, as, according to the doctors, it could disrupt the natural course of the spread of the investigated disease.

A big "success" among the people who were brought to "Detachment 731" was considered to be used for experiments with the use of gas. In that case, death came much faster. During the most terrible experiments it was proved that human endurance is almost equal to the endurance of pigeons. After all, the last died under the same conditions as man.

When the effectiveness of Ishii's work was proved, the Japanese military began to develop plans for the use of a bacteriological weapon against the United States and the USSR. At the same time, there was so much "ammunition" that they would be enough to destroy all people on earth. And in the development of each of them in one way or another was involved Quantum "Detachment 731".

Crimes are covered up to our time

No one knew what the Japanese had done to the conquered peoples. According to their allegations, prisoners were simply treated, and there were absolutely no violations. When the war began, various reports spread about cases of atrocities in the territory of Hong Kong and Singapore. But none of all official US protests received an answer. After all, the government of this country was well aware that even if they condemn or recognize what the Quantum army was doing ("Detachment 731" including), this in no way will affect the security of prisoners of war.

Therefore, they officially refused to bring the guilty to justice in exchange for the fact that they will receive "scientific" data collected on "logs". They were able not only to forgive such a number of deaths, but also to keep them a secret for many years.

Almost all the scientists who worked in Detachment 731 were not punished. The exception are those who fell into the hands of the USSR. The rest soon began to head universities, medical schools, academies of post-war Japan. Some of them became businessmen. One of those "experimenters" took the chair of the governor of Tokyo, the other - the president of the Japanese Medical Association. Also among those who founded "Detachment 731" (photos of which testify to those terrible experiments), there are a lot of military men and doctors. Some of them even opened private maternity homes.
