Installation and installation of glass partitions

In large office buildings, halls and studios, there is often a need for space separation. The use of ordinary walls for this purpose is rarely justified, therefore, construction companies produce special partitions. They are compact in size, easy to install, and at the same time provide the basic zoning function. After installing the glass partitions, you can also count on noise insulation and unobstructed light scattering. The main thing is to choose a model with suitable properties.

Features of glass partitions

At first glance, glass partitions seem less durable than composite and metal counterparts. But manufacturers pay a lot of attention to the characteristics that increase the reliability of such models. They use tempered glass, characterized by high strength. Moreover, in the arrangement of children's and medical institutions use triplex partitions. This material is characterized by the fact that even during the destruction it does not spread out into small fragments with cutting edges. But it is important to take into account that the installation of glass partitions of this type does not imply a mechanical treatment of the fabric in order to fit the original panel to non-standard dimensions. Therefore, you should initially carefully calculate the design for the desired parameters.

Types of glass for partitions

In addition to the strength properties, the glasses may differ in other properties, such as the degree of transparency and light transmission capacity, for example. The most transparent models are "float", made of thermally polished smooth glass. And on the contrary, matte whitish canvases significantly limit visibility. This effect, by the way, can be achieved with the help of special films. However, the light transmission capacity of matt glasses in the original form is also quite high. Today, models with original invoice are common. Thus, the installation of glass partitions with a pattern may require the exposure of a common visual composition using several panels. If possible, and to achieve an original aesthetic effect, you can also use milled panels made of bent glass, which also pre-passes hardening. But this is already a category of design models of partitions, which are much more expensive and are not used so often.

Partitioning technology

Today, two concepts for manufacturing glass partitions are common. For consumers that are not demanding for performance, thin-plate panels of tempered glass are offered . This is a monolithic unit, which is factory-cut according to the specified parameters. These products are supplied with a standard unified fittings. In this case, do not think that this option can not meet the requirements for reliability and security. These are rigid, strong and durable canvases, which even from a hammer blow so simply do not beat. Another thing is that the second technique and at all involves the production of indestructible panels in everyday conditions. These are glass partitions, the manufacture and installation of which is made only by highly qualified specialists. The structure of such partitions is formed by two hardened thin sheets. In addition to increased impact resistance, this glass is characterized by a heat-insulating function, which is ensured by the presence of a sealed vacuum in the central part.

Clamping wall mounting

This mounting technology is suitable for all standard models of partitions in a stationary, that is, fixed type. Work begins with the marking of lines on which the tire will be located - a profile base for the installation of canvases. On the outlined contours a complete set of tires is laid. Fixation is made using dowels and screws - depending on the floor material. To install glass partitions provided a high degree of noise insulation of the structure, together with the fastening hardware, it is not superfluous to use rubber gaskets, which are also supplied in the kit. Then clamping connectors are installed. These elements will just hold the glass panels in the tire. But this does not end with the installation actions. To strengthen the profile, special corners are used. The more massive the design, the more often they need to be integrated into the construction of the profile line.

Assembly of movable partitions

In this case, the assembly of the structure begins at the top. It is necessary to fix the connectors and profile with the help of complete bushings and brackets. Inside the profiles, rubber movement stops are integrated, which will function as a soft brake. Also in the grooves are built in carriages that hold the canvas. If you are installing glass partitions in the office with the expectation of frequent use of movable elements, it is better to provide in advance a rigid and maximum possible fixation of the panels. Almost all modern profiles allow the possibility of adjusting the clamping force of the partitions in the containment areas. Adjustment is carried out by screwdrivers through manipulation with special clamp bushings.

Installation of partitions-doors

Doors in glass partitions are pendulum and sliding. The first option is attached through the hinges along the axis at the top of the jamb and in the floor basis. To the basic partition and the transom, the axle can be fastened with a connector. In the doors with a hexagonal key, hinges or fittings are installed. Further, with the help of bushings, the installation of glass partitions of doors with the connection of the above-mentioned fittings is realized directly. Then it remains to adjust the distance taking into account the optimal arrangement of the structure. As for the sliding doors, they are mounted using the appropriate profile, the width of which should be equal to the dimensions of the panel. But it should also be taken into account that a few centimeters will be required for the limiters.

Dismantling of partitions

Dismantling may be required not only with the complete elimination of the installed structure, but also to perform its modernization. The entire workflow can be divided into three phases. At the first stage, the design removes doors, decorative accessories, additional fasteners and handles. Then external fasteners are removed, and separate sections of the structure are removed. At the final stage, the removal of power profile elements and brackets is carried out - this completes the typical dismantling. The installation of glass partitions assumes the precise performance of work actions in a certain order, but in the process of disassembly it is not always possible to follow the general rule of the reverse sequence of operations in relation to the installation measures. It already depends on the type of partition and its structural features.

Features of mounting the screen partition

In this case, both installation and dismantling are performed practically without using the surfaces and constructions of the room. All works are assembly. The screen is a set of sections, united by loop ligaments. Each section, in turn, is formed by a glass canvas enclosed in the profile frame. Further, the installation of glass partitions of this type involves the interconnection of individual panels in a folding wall-accordion. An obligatory component of such partitions are wheels that are screwed to the profile base and allow easy movement of the structure within the premises.

Conclusion

The main question that may arise for the average user of such a partition after purchase is whether to entrust the installation operations to specialists, or to perform them independently. On average, installation and installation of glass partitions is estimated at 2-3 thousand rubles. This applies to typical models, which are sold at prices of about 3 thousand per 1 sq. M. If opportunities allow, then, of course, it is better to turn to specialists. But the fact is that the operation process is more likely to make the user's part of the device itself understandable, so the attempt to install the construction by oneself will justify itself.
