Abdrakhmatov explains this behavior of the earth by the phenomenon of aftershock - a series of less intense earthquakes that occur after the main impact. Five groups of the Ministry for Emergency Situations and the Civil Protection Commission worked on the scene. Many families (152) were left without a roof over their heads. More than 400 homes by the Ministry of Emergency Situations are recognized as emergency.

Therefore, being in a multi-storey house, it is better to take a position, pressing against the bearing wall and as far as possible from the windows. In Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry of Emergency Situations conducts educational and explanatory work with the population in order that every citizen of the republic knows the elementary rules of behavior during an earthquake.
