Preparation

Before you start the process, make sure that the soil in the pot with your plant is moderately moist. Then carefully remove the violet and separate the rosettes from its trunk. Do this with a sharp object (for example, a knife, a razor blade or a needle). Places of cut then should be sprinkled with pounded coal.

After you detached the rosettes from the mother flower, they should be placed on the rooting. You can do this both in water and in the substrate (sand, coconut fiber, vermiculite, etc.). Plants, rooted in the substrate, should either be covered with polyethylene, or placed in a greenhouse. As for flower stepsons who have already acquired their own root system, they should be planted in separate pots, like adult plants. Very soon young violets will begin to grow pretty quickly and please you with their magnificent color. However, before you place the shoots and the mother plant in new pots, you need to learn how to do it correctly. About how the transplantation of violets should take place at home, let's talk further.

How to carry out the replacement of the earth and transfer the polish in a new pot

To begin with, at the bottom of the tank, in which you will plant a violet, you need to lay out the drainage. If you plan to conduct a wick watering, then immediately you need to install the wick through the drainage hole. So, the pot is ready to receive a new "tenant".

How to properly extract the polish from an old pot

The transplantation of domestic violets, which are very sensitive plants, must be very carefully carried out. This applies to the process of extracting senpolia from an old pot. To start, you should gently knock on the outside of the container with a flower, and then tilt it and pour out excess land. If the soil in the pot was loose, then after such manipulations you will easily be able to pull the flower, holding it by the base of the socket. If the land is old, then it is necessary to loosen it beforehand.

Transplanting violets also means taking care of its root system. So, when you took the flower out of the soil, gently shake the ground off it. At the same time, you should carefully remove the old brown roots, which have already served their time and no longer perform useful functions. Do not forget to sprinkle the damaged places with coal. To wash roots in no event it is impossible, as thus the risk to lose all plant increases.

Adult violets, as a rule, are transplanted into pots, in which they grew before that. Since the root system of these plants does not need to increase the volume, it is only sufficient to replace the earth. Growing same senpolia should be transplanted in a container with a larger diameter. In this case, the value of new pots should exceed the size of the old pots by no more than a couple of centimeters.

So, go directly to planting the plant. We hold the violet with one hand, and the other pour the earth to the level of fastening the bottom sheet. We compact the soil, gently tapping the pot on a flat surface and gently pressing it from above.

In some cases, senpolia is transplanted by trans-shipment. In this case, the plant from the old pot should be removed with great care, so as not to let the earthy coma shed. The violet is transferred to a larger pot, and along the edges, the missing soil replenishes. With this method, the old soil, to which your city has become accustomed, is completely preserved.

So, today we learned about how to plant a violet, as well as about the methods of transplanting this wonderful plant. We hope that this information will help you, and your senpolii will be healthy, they will blossom even more magnificently and please all your household for many years.
