From the plywood or boards cut out the edges of the appropriate size. Process them with sandpaper. Connect with each other nails. At the bottom of the box, fix the bar with a width of ten centimeters.

For small rooms, a multi-sectional construction will be convenient. When making the lower and upper parts of the nest for chickens by their own hands, their dimensions are determined by the number of cells. In order to calculate them, it is sufficient to multiply the length of the base of the box by the number of sections. In this case, the dimensions of the side faces remain unchanged.

The box is assembled in the same way as a single section. The lower bar is attached to the entire length of the structure. If necessary, it can be performed in multi-tier design. In this case, the sections are arranged in the form of a stack. Each tier is equipped with a wooden ladder and a horizontal bar, which is fixed directly in front of the cell. This will allow the chicken to easily enter the multisectional nest. At the bottom of each cell is laid flooring.

Frame models for boxes for laying hens

There are many options for making poultry nests. One of them is a skeleton way of carrying out a box. The peculiarity of this method is the production of a frame for fastening the bottom, top and side parts of the box, which makes it possible to increase the rigidity of the structure fastening. The frame is made of wooden bars, the length of which is forty centimeters. Two identical designs are nailed together in the form of squares. To them nails are plaited, which form the bottom, the back wall, the ceiling and the sides of the box. The bottom of the front of the nest is covered with a horizontal bar, the width of which is from ten to twenty centimeters.

The open constructions of the poultry boxes do not exclude contamination of eggs and damage to the shell. Making nests for laying hens with their own hands, poultry-lovers use small tricks to protect the diet product from spoilage. As a confirmation, we can consider a more complicated design of the socket. The multi-sectional model is executed in the form of a three- or four-tier bookcase. The lower section is raised above the floor surface to a distance of fifty centimeters. A feature of this design is the inclined surfaces of the bottom and roof of each tier. The angle of inclination is forty-five degrees. In the center of the floor you can provide a hole, and on the back of a special tray. In this case, the eggs will move into it. Each section is equipped with special ladder, through which the bird enters the nest.

Any simple design can be improved with minor improvements that will facilitate the maintenance and care of the bird.
