Lily of the valley bead: master class with photos

To make a bouquet of delicate forest flowers, you need to prepare some supplies and tools, including:

  • Green beads (№ 10) - 60 g;
  • White beads (№10) - 40 g;
  • Thin wire (0.3 mm);
  • Wire thicker (1 mm);
  • Green threads of a floss;
  • A little vase;
  • scissors;
  • PVA glue.

You may also need a small piece of polystyrene or alabaster. We advise you to buy a Czech glass bead for weaving flowers and ornaments. It is inexpensive and at the same time characterized by a high enough quality. Unlike Chinese, Czech beads mainly have the same shape and size, so it is much more convenient to work with them. And besides, they preserve their rich color and pleasant shine for a long time, without fading with time. After buying all the materials and preparing the workplace, you can begin to perform a delicate and beautiful craftwork from beads "Lily of the Valley". How to do it - we'll talk further.

The first stage of work: we create buds

First we will make the buds and flowers of the lily of the valley. To do this, we will rely on the technique of flat parallel weaving. The principle of operation is simple. Prepare the white beads and cut the wire of sufficient length (15-20 cm). We will make the weaving of the first petal of bud in the following way. First, we'll dial three beads on the wire, which will form the first and second rows. We pull them to the middle of the wire and pass one of its ends (towards the other) through two beads. So we have two first rows of petals. Then we will string three beads on one end of the wire, and on the other two. It remains to fix the petal of the bud. For this, let us pass one end of the wire (with a smaller number of bugles) into the third bead, towards the second end. Everything - the first stock has been made.

We also need to make four of the same petal buds. To do this, again take a small piece of wire and thread on it three beads. We form the first two rows. Then one end of the wire is inserted into the two side beads of the first petal. And on the second string another three beads. We pass the end of the wire attached to the first petal to the third bead of the second segment. It turns out two petals, connected together. By analogy, we make three more such "details", fastening them. The ends of the working wire of the last petal pass through the beads of the first and fourth petals, thereby forming a bud. Fix the ends of all wires. That's all, the first bud of the lily of the valley is made. On one stem there will be 3-4 buds. If you plan to make a bouquet, weave another 18-20 such elements.

The second stage of the work: the plait flowers

From the beads of lily of the valley (inflorescence) we will create almost the same way as the buds, again using the technique of parallel weaving. The difference in their weaving is only that, by creating the third row of petals of the flower, you should string not two or three beads, but Three or four. In this case, the fourth bead will fix the ends of the working wires. We hope you will not have trouble with the implementation of the inflorescences. In total, we need about 6-7 such elements to create one twig of the lily of the valley. If you want to create a lush bouquet, we advise you to perform a sufficient number of inflorescences (about 30-35 pieces).

The third stage of the work: fix buds and flowers on stems

When all the details are ready, we take a thicker wire and attach to it first a few buds, and then the flowers of the lily of the valley. Try to fix the elements on one side of the branch and direct the "heads" of the flowers down. It is desirable to maintain an even distance between the elements. Remember that the lower the flower is on the stem, the longer the pedicel should be. Then we decorate the stem with green threads of mulina. If necessary, they can be fixed with a small amount of PVA glue. After manufacturing the first by analogy, we perform several more twigs.

The fourth stage of the work: we perform leaves from beads

Lilies of the valley are decorated with large, dark green leaves of broad elliptical shape with a pointed tip. In order to make them as realistic as possible, we suggest you use French axial technology. For greater clarity, we present you schemes for beading leaves. For work, prepare a wire about 60 cm long. At one end, make a small loop. Twist the wire under it several times. On the axis, string a sufficient amount of green beads (to get a "path" of 6 cm in length). Bend the wire at a distance of about 20 cm and twist it by 1 cm. Then follow the three arcs, not forgetting to make beads. Now make one arc equal to half the length of the part. So you'll make the sheet wider in the center. After that, weave two more long arcs and fasten them, leaving the stalk. All - we have one sheet of beads ready. Lilies of the valley will look beautiful in the bouquet, framed by several such sheets. Therefore, we advise you to make a few more of the same wide and long elements.

The final stage of work: the design of the bouquet

Take the finished stems and attach the leaves to them. Place the fastening points of the wires with green threads of the moulin so that no ugly lumens remain. Here are our tender and spring lilies of the beads turned out (photo in the article). Give the bouquet a realistic shape. Congratulations - weaving is completed, lilies of the valley are ready! It remains only to come up with a beautiful design for our flower arrangement. For example, you can put a bouquet in a small vase. If the container is too wide, use a piece of polystyrene foam. Fix the stems of the lily of the valley in it and place it on the bottom of the vase. If you do not have a foam, take a plaster and dilute it with water. Pour the resulting mixture into the vase and insert the bouquet. So your composition will stand well and keep in shape. Gypsum can be decorated with decorative pebbles, glass beads or cloth. Now you know how to make beautiful lilies of the valley from beads. Masterclass, we hope you enjoyed and useful. Creative success!
