How to create a seating plan for the guests at the wedding and properly arrange everything

If you have a wedding soon, then you are busy now, try to make it all and forget nothing, so that the celebration is fun and easy. First of all, future spouses care about their clothes, about choosing a good toastmaster, about culinary delights and other things, but they often forget about such an important point as the plan for seating guests at a wedding at a table.

Why do we need such a plan?

Believe me, the general atmosphere of the celebration depends on this. Having made a plan for seating the guests at the wedding, you will provide a cheerful holiday not only to yourself, but to all those present. After all, the husband's boss will not sit next to your fifteen-year-old neighbor-rapper, and an unmarried pretty girlfriend will not listen to grandmother's stories from the village about all the ways of treating gout. You will foresee all these moments, and we will tell you how to create a plan for seating guests at a wedding, exclusively to decorate it and, thanks to this, an unforgettable celebration. So, let's consider the basic seating arrangements and their features.

Option 1: European scheme

To date, such a scheme is quite popular. And not in vain. It involves the presence of several small tables, arranged around the table of the newlyweds. By using this option, you can easily form the categories of guests. At one table can sit from 6 to 9 people. We advise you to place together members of one family, a company of co-workers, comrades. The number of people at one table is based on the size of the room and the total number of guests. Even more wisely, you do if you do not arrange people around the perimeter of the table, but only on ¾ of space. Thus, no one will sit with their backs to the newlyweds, and everyone will see the progress of the celebration.

Option 2: round table

Seating of guests for one round or oval table (the latter is more suitable for rectangular rooms) is ideal for a celebration, the number of guests on which does not exceed 20 people. This is a kind of quiet family holiday. The round table presupposes unity, equality, benevolent atmosphere. Plus this option also in that it will take only one composition for the design of the table, not several.

Option 3: several rectangular tables

This plan for seating the guests at the wedding involves the presence of several tables of rectangular shape. They can be angled or symmetrical to each other. But in any case not perpendicular to the table of the bride and groom! This arrangement of seating allows you to create a good overview for the guests, arrange them according to the principle of belonging to the side of the bride or groom (or other acceptable in all ways). Place tables so that there is a place for dancing in the center, and that everyone can freely approach the newlyweds. By the way, a combination of rectangular and round tables looks very interesting.

Option 4: one long table

This plan for seating guests at the wedding is more suitable for outdoor celebrations, since if there are a large number of guests, then not every hall is ideal for this scheme. Despite the fact that such a plan resembles the times of the Soviet Union, today it enjoys great popularity, because the style of design has radically changed. Since all guests have opposite each other, everyone feels part of something big and important. Such a seating arrangement unites, allows guests to freely move around the site and "go visiting" to other guests.

Option 5: the letters "Sh", "P", "T" and others

This scheme is the best suited for those who do not know how to create a seating plan for guests with a very large number of guests. Perhaps, these are the most traditional and popular ways of accommodating guests in our country. After all, this way you not only save space, but also plant a huge number of people, even in a small room. However, there are disadvantages here. First, people will certainly turn their backs on each other, and secondly, moving around the hall will be difficult.

Do not forget about children

The more invited, the more children will be at the party. The seating plan for the guests at the wedding should be compiled with this important item in mind. Kids are full of energy and love of life, they love to run, jump, so be sure to cheer up the guests. However, everything must be arranged so that the wedding does not turn into a farce where children scream at the whole hall, and adults do not hear either the toastmaster or each other because of this. So, remember:

  • Small children always plant with their parents, but for older children, organize a separate table;
  • For young guests get coloring books, pencils so that they are busy with an interesting business and allow parents to take an active part in the holiday;
  • If possible, place the children's tables away from the newlyweds, so that the noise and scam do not spoil the holiday to the perpetrators of the celebration.

Consider another important point: if there are children under 2 years old at the wedding, take care of the availability of special highchairs.

Arrangement of seating for guests at the wedding: decoration

So, you decided which seating arrangement will be ideal in your particular case. Now we need to inform all the guests about our plans. How best to organize everything? After all, to meet every guest at the entrance, look for his name on a piece of paper and sit in the assigned place is not very convenient and beautiful. We suggest that you explore several options for implementing your plan:

  1. By sending an official invitation to each person, you can attach a leaflet with a beautifully arranged seating plan. However, such an attractive option (at first glance) has a number of shortcomings. First, invitations are sent out in advance, so the layout of people can be still adjusted. Secondly, having received such a leaflet in advance, a person is likely to lose it or simply forget about its existence.
  2. A sign of good tone are the cards located near the instruments on each table. They can be conservative and strict, but you can decorate them beautifully and in an original way. That's your business.
  3. Sometimes there is such an option: make a big plan on the paper and put it in front of the entrance to the hall. Everyone will have to approach him and find his last name. Agree, it does not look very nice ...

What to choose? On what to stop?

We dare say that the most suitable option would still be an offer with cards. Firstly, every guest can easily find his place at a grand table, and secondly, no one will reproach you for not organizing a wedding and not taking into account all the details, and third, it is a kind of expression of respect for the hosts to the invited .

If you plan to invite a large number of people, then banquet cards with names and surnames should be supplemented with table numbers, so everything will look more organized and will not cause confusion. The design of cards and their design depend on your taste, the general style of the hall and other small things. They can be decorated with ribbons, laces, beads, romantic pictures and other cute little things.

Place cards better next to instruments or with napkins. Some put them directly on the plates, but the classical etiquette does not accept this. The better and more original the cards are, the more likely that the guests will take them in memory of such a perfectly organized celebration.
