How to cook sandwiches for a buffet table?

But at the same time the buffet requires a special approach to the dishes. Most often at such events they are served not only in portions, but also in order to be able to take them simply in their hands. Usually the menu includes canapés, baskets with salad or caviar and sandwiches for a buffet table.

How to make the first two dishes, many are good, but what sandwiches are suitable for such a table, not everyone knows. First of all, they should be easy to take in hand, be tasty and small in size. And, of course, such sandwiches for a buffet table are simply obliged to look appetizing.

All these criteria are perfectly consistent with the usual sandwiches. True, so that they do not resemble fast food, it is better to give them a triangle or diamond shape. Filling can be any, it depends only on the imagination of the hostess of the evening. For example, you can put a slice of ham, a thinly sliced cucumber, and grease the bread with a layer of mayonnaise, butter or cream cheese. Such sandwiches can also be easily made with fish or mushroom filling. However, all these options are fast sandwiches for a buffet table. If time allows, you can prepare and more convoluted variations.

Very original on the buffet table will look sandwiches with rolls of ham. Cut a piece of bread diagonally so that a triangle is obtained. For a slice of ham lay a little of any salad, for example, from crab meat and roll up a roll. Fix all the green onions. Put it on a prepared slice of bread.

However, it is not at all necessary that sandwiches for a buffet table be with bread. You can completely replace it with a salt cracker. An excellent addition to it will be pate from the chicken liver, quail eggs, cherry tomatoes. Another original solution will be sandwiches with cucumber and curd mousse. Cucumbers cut into circles 1-1.5 cm thick. For mousse, whip 100 g of cottage cheese, 50 g of cream cheese, 100 g of salmon, 2 cloves of garlic and 2 tablespoons with a blender. Spoons of sour cream. Dill and 50 g of salmon finely chop and mix with mousse with a spoon. Remove the mass for 30 minutes in the refrigerator. Then use a pastry bag to put the mousse on the prepared circles of cucumbers. Decorate with dill.

And if time allows, you can still make Hawaiian sandwiches for a buffet table. They will need: a baguette or a small loaf, butter, cheese, ham and canned pineapple rings. Baguette cut into pieces 0.5 cm wide. Each of them is divided into 4 parts and lubricated with a thin layer of oil. Chop the ham and cheese into slices. Rinse the pineapple rings and cut each into 8 pieces. On a piece of a loaf put the ham, then pineapple and cheese. Fasten the sandwiches with a toothpick or a wooden skewer. Fold them all on a baking sheet and put in the oven for 5-7 minutes until the cheese melts. You can serve both hot and cold.

Of course, the menu of any feast can be very diverse and include not only sandwiches for a buffet table. Recipes of all dishes for such events should differ not only in the simplicity of cooking, but also with a beautiful appearance and the ability to serve them portion by piece.
