Homemade strawberries for the festive table

Hot summer gives us an abundance of fruits. Of course, the first harvest will be eaten soon after harvest. After all, you need to gain vitamins and treat yourself to delicious fruits from your own site or the nearest market! But if the family starts reacting calmly to the fruit in the vase, then it's time to do the blanks.

Save all the benefits, the taste of fruits and berries can be with the help of twists with jam, compote and liqueurs. To make a home-made drink is a very good family tradition. It will save money, protect yourself from buying substandard alcohol, cook delicious natural hot drinks. Today we are talking about a recipe for strawberry, which will be highly appreciated by both guests and adult household members.

What you need to prepare in advance:

  1. Berries. Strawberries should be ripe, cleared of sepals, thoroughly washed.
  2. Tara. For the fermentation process, you need to prepare a three-dimensional glass bottle. Further storage can be done in cans, a decanter, or all of the same large packaging used to make a strawberry filling.
  3. Water lock. This simple device is necessary for the safe fermentation of the product. Do it yourself with a plastic cover, in which you need to make a hole. Insert the flexible tube into the resulting hole, fill the hole with resin, plasticine, sealant or other insulating compound. Too complicated? Then prepare a latex glove, which will be put on the neck of a container for strawberry filling.

List of ingredients (per three-liter jar):

- Strawberries - 2 kg.

- Sugar - 500-700 g. Choose the amount yourself, depending on the sweetness of the berries.

- Natural flavors (optional) - one lemon, vanilla stick.

The recipe for strawberry in the home

Berry, washed and cleared of sepals, folds into a glass container. Sugar falls asleep on the strawberry. Shake the jar a little to mix the ingredients. Add flavorings as desired. Tie the neck of the container with gauze. The composition should be allowed to brew and ferment for two days in a warm place. Do not leave the product in direct sunlight. It is better to remove it under a canopy. In summer and there it will be hot.

Once you feel the smell of fermentation, and the mass begins to foam, replace the gauze with a water seal. The end of the tube from it should be lowered into a container of water. Then the air will stop falling inside the jar, and you will clearly see through the bubbles in the water, when the time of preparation of the strawberry filling will come to an end. If a glove is chosen for the bolt, it will be possible to trace its inflation to huge sizes with alcoholic vapors. As soon as the water tube stops emitting bubbles, and the latex ball begins to lose volumes, the fill will be ready.

Strain the product through a cheesecloth or sieve. Pour into bottles or decanters. Home-made beverages can be made from any ripe berries: raspberries, blackberries, cherries, currants, mountain ash, strawberries and not only. Let your holiday be decorated with delicious, sweet, natural hot drinks, which you will proudly call "your own."
