Guitar fight. We learn together!

Often newcomers dream of learning how to play a few favorite songs to amuse themselves and friends. Someone decides to learn how to play seriously, but does not always know where to start. To masterly play the guitar, of course, you need to learn notes, solfeggio and other useful things. But if you do not grab the stars from the sky, then for the beginning it will be enough to learn from a dozen chords and train.

Guitar battle - a way to extract sound from the guitar by sweeping strokes playing the hand on the strings. More often it is the right hand, and the left musician sorts the chords, thus receiving a melody. Professionals do not use this term, in these circles, battles for guitar are called rhythmic patterns, or "rageados."

To properly play the fight, the musician must develop a sense of rhythm, and it does not come immediately. Inexperienced players constantly accelerate, then slow down the pace, which, as you know, does not sound quite right. Therefore, beginners are recommended to tap the tact with their feet or use the metronome. This simple device can be purchased at a music store.

Basically, fighting for a guitar is applicable to acoustic devices when accompanied by singing or another solo instrument. In mastering it is not so complicated. The main thing is to remember the sequence of strikes on strings and alternating them with pauses. Along the way, the second hand changes the chords.

Guitar battle can perform songs of any direction, it all depends on your preferences and level of your skill. They can be different - from the simplest, which we will consider below, to the incredibly difficult by the scheme and speed of the game. In principle, every guitarist can boast at least one invented by him or mastered by himself a fight.

Now we will analyze the basic simple methods of the game. When a guitar battle is depicted in diagrams and tablatures (hereinafter referred to as tabs), the direction of strikes on the strings is indicated by such arrows or ticks:

  • ↑ - denotes a blow up the strings - from the first (thinnest) to the sixth, but only in amateur circuits;
  • ↓ - respectively, denotes a blow in the opposite direction;
  • X - this sign is placed in addition to the above, which means the execution of the strike on the strings with the muffling of their sound either by the rib or the inside of the palm. If you saw this symbol in professional tabs against a particular string, it means that its sound should be muffled, or the sound from it is not extracted at all upon impact;
  • + - this sign, like the previous one, means muffling the sound, but not with the edge of the palm, but with the thumb of the hand.

I also want to note that, unlike the amateur schemes of the game, in professional tabs, the reverse direction of the striking on the strings is the opposite, i.e. The arrow pointing upwards indicates the direction of impact from the sixth to the first string, and, conversely, vice versa. Next, we will designate a guitar fight as professionals. So, let's get started.

The first kind of guitar combat looks like this: ↑↑↑ ↓ ↑. This is one of the simplest options. Three hits down, one up and down again. The distance between the arrows also has a value: the larger it is, the longer the time interval between impacts.

The next guitar fight should not be difficult for anyone: ↑ ↓ ↑ ↓ ↑. It is played simply, but it sounds somehow simple. Here we can already include fantasy and embellish this guitar battle by muffling the strings. The result is as follows: ↑ ↓ ↑ x ↑ ↓ ↑ x ↑ ↓ ↑ x or ↑ ↓ ↑ + ↑ ↓ ↑ + ↑ ↓ ↑ +. That is, every third blow we muffle. How? It's up to you to decide.

And the last one to describe the fight is more complicated: ↑↑↑ ↓↓ ↑↑. It should be mastered after the first two.

Finally I would like to say a few words about the technique of extraction of sound. Strike on the strings can be like all fingers, while tearing away the palm of the body of the instrument, and one and several fingers. When you hit, do not strongly strain the brush, but it should not be soft either. At first, it's better to play without taking your hands off the guitar body, because your fingers will cling to the strings, and some of them will sound louder, which is not always good.

Master the guitar battle! Then it will be easier!
