Group "Plasma": biography, clips and songs

One of the first collectives in Russia, which performed exclusively English-language compositions for a Russian-speaking audience, was the "Plasma" group. Few people even from fans of children know that they were originally called Slow Motion. But for success in the variety field it was necessary to have a short, sonorous, bright memorable name, which would sound the same in all languages, and therefore it was decided to become "Plasma". About how the group "Plasma" was created, her biography, described in this article, will tell in detail. Also we learn about some facts from the life of the members of the collective.

The beginning of time

The group "Plasma" was established in 1990. And it all began like this. The participants of the future, even in the thoughts of a non-existent collective, met in 1986 in Volgograd, in the Teachers' House, where they were invited to become members of the new group. Its head Andrey Tryasuchev brought together talented young guys: Roman Chernitsyn, Nikolay Romanov, Alexei Voronkov, Sergei Starodub, Roman Rybin and Maxim Postelny. But the collective was not destined to exist for a long time, soon it disintegrated.

Three guys from the former collective (Maxim Postelny, Roman Chernitsyn, Nikolay Romanov) decided to create a new one, calling it Slow Motion, which means "slow movement". The name of the group was taken as the title of one of the songs most popular at the time, Modern Talking. Already at that time, in 1990, the group's work was based on the principle of performing only English-language songs. The team wanted to prove that in Russia you can make the same progressive and high-quality music as in the West.

First Songs

Immediately after the creation of the team, the guys started to work. There, in Volgograd, the main musical material for the debut album was recorded. In 1991, the band released their first collection of songs called Falling In Love (in translation - "falling in love"). Not waiting for the first results of the work, the group left Romanov Nikolay. In parallel with the records, participants began to shoot clips, participate and win in various competitions and festivals. So, Slow Motion took the second place on the First rock start in 1991 and the first - on the Second rock start in 1992.

The period of creative inactivity

From the end of 1992 to 1993, the group remained inactive. Chernitsyn Roman decided to get a job at the plant "Spetsenergoremont", Maxim Postelny devoted all his time to studying at the Art College. But all changed one call.

The cassette with the records of the collective fell into the hands of the general director of the trading house Help Oleinik Sergey Ivanovich, who decided to become the sponsor of the children. Soon, with the assistance of his patron, Roman and Maxim receive an invitation to participate in the program "Starry Rain." The program was broadcast on the RTR channel, and therefore it was seen practically by the whole country.

The beginning of serious work

After they learned about the duet, there were several people who wanted to do their production. The mentor of the group was Abolikhin Anatoly, who works with the already known at that time singer Malikov Dmitri. In 1993, some old songs were rewritten in Volgograd and new ones were recorded. In Moscow, the guys recorded an updated song Take My Love, which later became one of the most popular in the history of Russian music.

The conquest of new peaks

Throughout 1996-1998, the band recorded new songs, performed in clubs in Volgograd. But very quickly it became clear that the guys are cramped in a small city. In early 1998, a new album was released called Prologue, with which the team ventured to go to Moscow. But in connection with the situation in the country at that time, it did not happen until early 1999. First time Maxim spent a week at the radio station "Europe Plus" as a sound engineer.

Change of name and success

In 1999, the guys met Dmitry Malikov, who became their producer for the next five years. He also initiated the change of the collective name to a more vivid and memorable one, and was right - the group "Plasma" became recognizable.

In December 2000, a new duet album was released - Take My Love, which literally blew up the Russian music market. The group "Plasma" has become very popular not only in its own country, but also far beyond its borders. The collective toured in all countries of the near abroad. In the same year, the group "Plasma" with the help of Philip Jankowski filmed the clips for two of their songs: The Sweetest Surrender and Take My Love.

At the end of 2001, the audience saw the third video for the song Lonely, and in mid-2002 the fourth - for the song You'll Never Meet an Angel. The director of the video was Gusev Oleg. According to his idea in the video in the role of "big boss" starred himself the producer of the group Malikov Dmitri. The work turned out to be interesting and exciting, like a real gunman: with weapons, expensive cars and beautiful girls.

Modern "Plasma": the composition of the group

In 2003, the guitarist Nikolai Trofimov, a good friend from the times of the Volgograd projects, joined the permanent members of the collective, Maxim and Maxim Cherninitsyn. Later in the group came another musician - violinist Alexander Luchkov. In this composition the guys are still performing, only they call themselves the main (Maxim, Roman) and the secondary (Nikolai, Alexander) part of the group.

Mysterious album "607"

In 2002, fans heard completely different songs from the group "Plasma". The album, titled "607", the meaning of which no one recognized, was released in late 2002. It included serious, mature and very lyrical compositions, which once again confirmed that "Plasma" is a progressive group of the Russian pop scene, capable of successful experiments and reincarnations. Thanks to the album "607" the band was also recognized in France, Finland, the Baltic States, where the guys went on tour.

Third album

After a short break, the band returned to their fans with a new collection of songs called Black and White. The group "Plasma", clips on the songs of which have always been exciting, and the song One Life from the third album was able to release a video clip with a deep fascinating storyline. The story told of a sick girl lying in a glass chamber isolated from the outside world. The doomed of the last forces hopes for a miracle, and it happens: in her life her Majesty the Love appears and saves her. The director of the video was Kevin Jackson.

Another song from this album, worthy of attention, was Living in the Past. The song interested foreign DJs, who created a large number of remixes on it.

Works of recent years

In 2007, together with Vodonaeva Alyona, the guys from "Plasma" recorded their first Russian-language song "Paper Sky".

In 2009, the band tried to get into the final of the Eurovision Song Contest with the composition Never Ending Story, but unfortunately they could not - in the selection another participant won. In the same year, two of their new songs were released: The Real Song and Mystery (The Power Within). The last song was filmed in 2010.

In the same year, 2010, the soloist of the group "Plasma" Chernitsyn Roman promised to please fans with new works in the near future. And kept his word - in 2011 came their single Angel of Snow, and in 2013, another one - Black Leather Boys. In total, in the history of the band's existence, three albums, eighteen singles and eight video clips were released. Someone can say that this is not so much, given that the group has existed for more than 20 years. But who among representatives of modern Russian pop culture can compete with "Plasma" on the quality of their work? Each of their songs is a hit, each album is a sensation, each clip is an amazing and memorable sight. This is already a victory! In addition, teams that exist and are actively developing in Russia for more than twenty years, can be counted on the fingers. And "Plasma" among them. We will wait for new victories of all the beloved collective.
