Geely Vision - the original idea or plagiarism?

The next creation of the Chinese car industry Geely Vision was presented to the public in 2008. The crooks from the Celestial Empire have always been very fond of their love of copying, it seems that this time too it was not without imitation. Experts noted that the external similarity with the well-known Toyota Corolla catches the eye immediately. Naturally, compared to Geely Vision, the price of even not very new Corolla will be much higher, however, it seems, the Chinese are not too concerned about it. In their opinion, the key to success lies in the combination of economy, reliability and security, but this opinion can by and large be also copied.

Appearance Geely Vision really reminds a Japanese colleague, especially if you look at it from the side. The same oblong silhouette, roomy trunk, high lines of doors and original (in this case rather non-original) handles. Headlights, like most other Chinese cars, are wide open - it turns out a sort of "surprised" look. The bumper is massive, with fog lights. A powerful rear part was decorated with a chrome strip on the trunk. In general, the car looks very harmonious, the corners are smoothed, the gaps do not exceed the permissible standards, in general, it is quite a nice car.

Geely Vision is presented in several trim levels. All of them are equipped with a 4-cylinder engine (1.8 liters; 133 hp). Transmission - 5-speed mechanics. As for fuel consumption, the Chinese manufacturer indicated a perfectly acceptable 7.5 liters per hundred. Vision - front-wheel drive car, front and rear brakes - disc.

As a rule, even if outside the Chinese car does not cause criticism, inside it most often criticism does not stand. The interior of Geely Vision has partially refuted this dogma, since its interior turned out to be really roomy. The ceiling and side racks do not press on the passenger, the legroom is sufficient both in front and behind. Naturally, the Chinese would not have been Chinese if they had not made the finish of inexpensive plastic, but in general everything looks neat and flawless, sometimes even with a claim to designer originality. As a disadvantage, it is possible to allocate a rudder, the adjustment of which is carried out only on the slope.

As already mentioned, the car is available in several trim levels, and specifically - in three. As for the base, it is very rich. Air conditioning, heated front seats, ABS, air bags, light sensor - that's not the whole list of amenities. Improved complete sets are supplemented with cast discs, leather seats and climate control.

Contrary to the forecasts of skeptics, did not disappoint the car and manageability. During driving the box works clearly, the car accelerates smoothly and keeps the trajectory well. True, we can not fail to note the excessive noise of the engine running, but its level is quite acceptable, as for the Chinese car, which is Geely Vision. Reviews of car owners about this car are appropriate, any serious complaints are not noticed. The car is definitely not lost in its segment and will compete with cars of this class.
