Garden highlight from Japan: wagel - landing and grooming

Vejgela, planting and caring for which is not very common among domestic gardeners, is one of the most beautiful shrubs that belong to the honeysuckle. The main reason for this lies in the Japanese origin of the plant, which, due to this, has a reputation for a whimsical flower with low frost resistance. In fact, this is not entirely true, since correct agrotechnics can make Wielic plant shrubs, the photo of which is below, undemanding and bright inhabitants of Russian gardens. Like many other flowering bushes, this plant is planted precisely for the bright colors that appear on its branches, from May to June. Provided that a successful wintering of the plant is provided, next year in each bosom there are inflorescences consisting of 2-5 beautiful flowers.

During the selection of a site for planting plants , it is preferable to prefer a place that is well illuminated by the sun's rays and at the same time has a light diffuse shadow. Moreover, it is very important that it is protected from a strong wind that can break fragile branches. For a plant such as a wagel, planting and care can be carried out on any fertile mild soil. It is recommended that it be slightly alkaline or neutral. A negative influence on the development of these bushes is the drying of the soil and dry air, so it is desirable to make a mound depth of 10 cm from small pebbles, peat or sawdust around the trunk. The radius of the circle should be at least 50 cm. The most important for the plant, of course, is timely and abundant watering, which can even save it in case of unsuccessful wintering.

The permanent place of the wagel, planting and caring for which is carried out on its own site, is placed after reaching the age of two grown seedlings from seedlings. It is done immediately, as soon as the earth recoils after the winter, before the beginning of bud budding. It is not advisable to plant a plant in the autumn because the planting material is not completely ready for frost in this case. Saplings are placed in pits, the depth and diameter of which is half a meter. The root cervix should not be deepened in this case, after all, after watering and ramming it will be located in a comfortable place for yourself. Further care of the bushes is reduced mainly to ensuring their regular watering and loosening of the soil.

An important aspect for the shrub wagel, planting and caring for which is done on its own, is a successful wintering. In the early years, it is recommended to warm the trunks, sprinkling them with dry foliage and grass. Before the beginning of autumn frosts around each of the bushes in the form of huts are installed strong frames, on top of which is laid light material in several layers. Inside also poured dry leaves. Thus, behind veil shrubs care is carried out all year round. In the winter time, you should not forget about the need for timely cleaning of snow from built shelters, especially when thawing. Another nuance, which should be noted, is that the plant is not cut before winter. In the spring, however, it is necessary to assess the general condition of each specimen and to remove frozen shoots right up to a healthy, living tissue. With proper care at one place, the veigail can grow without a transplant for about 50 years, without losing its appearance and decorative characteristics.
