Fugitives from civilization: Amish - who are they?

The whole world is gradually divided into those who welcome any vice, calling it the choice of a person, and those who seek to live righteously. Unfortunately, the last group is much smaller. But not so small. The Amish belong to the righteous. Who are they? These are followers of the teachings of Jacob Amman, a Swiss who correctly decided that civilization and vice are one and the same. He lived in the XVII century and belonged to a very strict sect of Mennonites (a branch of Protestantism). But he was not satisfied with the fact that society is rolling into the abyss. In his opinion, a righteous person can not even communicate with the rest. He gathered around him a bunch of devotees. They moved to the New World to build another society, cleared of vices.

Modern Amish - who is this?

In the US and Canada, there are many communities that lead an isolated lifestyle. They try to communicate only in their own circle. The rules of their life are strict. The natural economy ensures their existence. Amish is about 200 thousand people. In connection with the impending end of the world, their ranks are constantly being replenished with new adherents. The most numerous Amish community is in Pennsylvania. The county of Lancaster is differently called their country.

What the Amish believe in

Who invented this, that the Devil, and not the Lord rules the world - is unknown. But the Amish sincerely believe in it. Human souls are like fragile sprouts in the field of the breeder - the Devil, who by all means tries to inculcate in them many vices. Only the most steadfast is given to resist, in order to unite with the Lord, when it is time to go to heaven.

These righteous people live in oases of good - Amish settlements, where it is very difficult to succumb to diabolical temptations, since the entire structure is strictly regulated here. Communities obey the strict statutes - Ordnung, in which literally every step of the righteous is prescribed.

Humility is the main virtue honored by the Amish

Who said this, that you have to fight with vice by force? Not at all. The Amish believe that only by humility and nonresistance they will build their way to Paradise. Their whole life consists of trials and sufferings, which they must not suffer grumbling and not opposing. Even if you spit the believer in person - he will not be offended and will not get angry. Anger, anger, pride are terrible vices. Religions of the world do not know another such trend, where believers are pure children. They will pray for the salvation of their executioner. At the same time, it is earnest and sincere.

The life of the Amish

This group of the population lives apart. Is engaged in subsistence farming. Families are created with coreligionists. There are a lot of children in them, so the settlements grow rapidly. There is a possibility that this human population will suffer from its closeness, due to the limited choice of the pair. But now so many people run away from civilization that such fears are no longer relevant. Many people who want to leave the world are given shelter by the Amish. Who is so anxious to retire from the benefits? A lot of people who in this way protest against the disgrace that is happening in the modern world. They are not satisfied with the unbridled mores, ubiquitous sex, the inability to have something personal, because even the most intimate is immediately known to the public. This is not the life of the Amish. For them, the hidden exists. They do not watch TV, do not climb on the Internet, even radio is forbidden. Women go fully dressed, not half-naked, as is customary in advertising. Men let go of a beard and never swear. They are very kind and nice people.
