Lazar is a pupil of the team "Partizan", in which he came at the age of 12 years. In 2011, the 17-year-old becomes a player of the club's main staff. His debut match in the championship of Serbia, he played May 29, 2011 in a duel with the team "Sloboda". And already on July 11, the player signs his first professional contract.

In the season 2011/2012 Lazar shows a phenomenal game. Having an incredibly fast flank midfielder becomes not only an indispensable player of Partizan, but is also recognized as the best football player of the club following the results of the national championship. In the same year he holds his first European Cup match. He came to the meeting of the Champions League tournament against the club "Shkendia" (Macedonia). In total in the second season of performances for "Partizan" Markovich played 33 matches, scored 7 goals. Season 2012/2013 was the last player for the player in the championship of Serbia.

It so happened that the best young players of Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, Macedonia, having barely time to light up in their championships, become players of other, more cash European championships. This path was prepared for our hero.

The rumors about the football player's transition to the Shakhtar Donetsk club in the summer of 2013 were especially rumored. At this time a control meeting took place between Shakhtar and Partizan, which ended with the victory of the Serbian team. And the only goal in this fight was scored by Lazar. There were other assumptions about the place of the player's further career. All this ceased to be relevant at the end of June 2013, when Markovic signed a five-year contract with the Portuguese club Benfica. The deal amounted to 10 million euros. As part of the new team, he played the season 2013/2014 (26 games, 5 goals) and was sold to English "Liverpool". "Benfica" not bad welded on the young Serbian talent. "Liverpool" it cost about 20 million euros.

But full-fledged play in the championship of England Lazar could not. Unable to get into the main team, he went to the football field in just eleven bouts. From the next season 2015/2016 Lazar Markovich - footballer of the club "Fenerbahce". In the current championship of Turkey, he acts as a leased player.
