Fire-fighting briefing. Introductory fire-fighting briefing program

Fire-fighting briefing and its importance can not be underestimated, because it can depend not only on the welfare of the enterprise or the house, but also on human lives. This uncomplicated science is required to know every worker from the first days of admission to the enterprise.

Types of fire brigade training

For today in the Russian Federation the Decree, published in 2007 operates. In accordance with this document, these kinds of briefings are distinguished:

  • Introductory and primary;
  • Repeated and unscheduled;
  • Target.

To control the work of any of these briefings, there is a special " Fire-fighting briefing register " in which, with each training or clarification carried out, a corresponding entry is made, which must be fixed by the signatures of the instructed and the fire safety specialist. The availability of this document and the correctness of its compilation are controlled by fire inspectors during inspections at enterprises.

Introductory training

Introductory fireproof briefing is designed specifically for:

  • Newly recruited employees who are trained before starting any activity or work, regardless of what kind of education they have and whether they have studied this issue before.
  • Workers who came for seasonal work.
  • Students of educational institutions that were sent to practice.
  • Persons specially sent to the educational institution for instruction.

To implement such training at the enterprise, a special post must be approved by the order of the head, with all the relevant duties and responsibilities assigned to him, which is called the instructor or the fire safety inspector. If necessary, specialists from outside or employees of special institutions involved in the conduct of training may be recruited to provide additional information to employees. To conduct such classes it is necessary to organize a special room, in which there will be training visual aids, as well as methodological materials.

Preparation of an introductory lesson

Introductory briefing may differ depending on the direction of production, but always must comply with all established norms and rules prescribed in the legislation and instructions for general fire safety . The program of this lesson prepared and prepared by the inspector must be approved and certified by the order of the head of the enterprise or institution. The duration of such briefing may be different, but it must necessarily cover all safety issues of newcomers. Introductory training in its final part should result in the practical application of skills in the training area in order to consolidate and verify the level of knowledge gained during the session.

Primary education in the workplace

Every newly-admitted employee must pass a fire-fighting briefing at the site of his future work. Such training should take place:

  • All newly arrived and accepted for work;
  • Employees transferred from one unit to another;
  • Workers changing the direction of their work;
  • Seconded from educational institutions;
  • Seasonal workers;
  • Specialists who carry out emergency work on the territory of the enterprise;
  • Students who have come to practice.

Fire-brigade training should be developed and provided by the inspector or special department created for this purpose, and approved by the head of the enterprise. During primary education, the classes are held individually with each employee, during which practical skills and abilities are developed in the use of primary firefighting means, working out the actions in case of emergencies, rules that must be observed in case of need for evacuation, rendering assistance to the victims in the fire.

Required knowledge for employees

Every employee of the enterprise must be able to use fire fighting equipment if necessary, know where the evacuation exits are and how to reach them, be able to provide the necessary medical care to those who received burns. Primary firefighting instruction can be conducted with a small group of persons who work on the same type of equipment within the same work area.

Introductory fire-fighting briefing program

Questions that must necessarily be present in the introductory briefing and are the basis for its compilation can be supplemented depending on the direction of the enterprise and the need for additional knowledge for each individual official. The list for compulsory education:

  • General information about the organization and its features in matters of fire and explosion safety;
  • Fire safety and its understanding;
  • Responsibilities and responsibilities for employees for compliance with all fire safety requirements;
  • Familiarization with the current fire regime in the enterprise;
  • Familiarization with the certified founder or manager of the enterprise order to comply with the fire regime, as well as the entire list of available instructions for the official;
  • A list of all possible hazards that may arise in the workplace, in the workshop, in the living quarters, in the workplace;
  • General knowledge and applied fire prevention measures during the occurrence of a fire;
  • Knowledge of primary firefighting systems and the ability to use them, as well as knowledge of their location on the territory of the organization;
  • To know and be able to apply, in case of danger, knowledge about the presence of evacuation exits and passages to them;
  • Knowledge of the primary methods of providing medical care, in the event of an accident at work.

Journal of fire brigade training

After the introductory firefighting instruction by the person responsible for this, an entry is made to the special Registration Journal with the registration of the instructing signatures of the trainee and the instructor certifying the fact.

Required fields:

  • date;
  • The surname and initials of the instructed;
  • The position held by him;
  • The name of the structural unit in which the trainee will work;
  • Surname and initials of the instructor;
  • Signatures of both parties.

Repeated briefing

After the introductory and primary fire-fighting briefings, the person responsible for training the personnel is re-trained in accordance with the established schedule of classes, reviewed and approved by the head of the enterprise. Such classes can be held individually, with each employee, or in small groups. The training program, as a rule, does not differ from the introductory and primary, but only is a reminder and consolidation of the previously obtained knowledge.


An unscheduled section of knowledge is held at different times, not necessarily with notification of employees. Such activities are needed to monitor the skills acquired and the ability to use them in practice, if necessary.

Targeted briefing

Targeted instruction is specifically designed and conducted in the following cases:

  • Performance of one-time works related to increased risks of fire danger;
  • At liquidation of consequences of the accident;
  • In explosive industries;
  • When conducting educational excursions in an educational institution;
  • When organizing various activities associated with a large number of people.

Fire safety and knowledge of its rules, methods of using various primary fire extinguishing equipment and methods of providing first aid to the victims are what every person needs to know, whether he is an employee of an institution or a common man. Sometimes, from the possession of such a baggage of knowledge, it can depend not only on another's life, but also on your own. A person prepared for possible dangers, reacts faster and more correctly in a critical situation, is able to suppress a sense of panic and help others around him and himself.
