"Female Doctor" - one-sided orthility
Recently, the once forgotten healing herb, the one-sided Ortilia, better known as the Boria uterus, began to go out of oblivion and to become increasingly popular in folk medicine. I must say that this is an ancient, centuries-old remedy. The hog queen is not the only popular name for this herb.
The plant is perennial, belongs to the family of heather. It grows in forests with a cold and temperate climate. Particularly common in Siberia, in the Altai. This medicinal plant has long, creeping stems, from which the annual branches diverge. The leaves have a round-wedge-shaped base, the leaves are egg-shaped with pointed tops on short and thin petioles. Very small, light green flowers are collected in one brush. Flowers are all rotated in one direction - hence the name of the ortilia is one-sided. In dry coniferous forests this grass often forms dense thickets.
Healing properties of the hog uterus (ortilia lopsided) were well known to the Old Believers, who first settled in the Altai. They were notable herbalists and knew how to uncover the medicinal properties of herbs, berries and roots. Recipes that were created by the Old Believers are a valuable legacy for modern herbalists and pharmacists. The grass is collected manually at a specific time in accordance with a special calendar, dried and processed near the place of collection.
In general, one-sided lapidium is used in folk medicine for the treatment of inflammatory gynecological diseases. In addition, the bovine uterus will be useful for men's health as a preventative against inflammatory processes and impotence.
