Elbrus Tedeev: biography and photos

Elbrus Tedeev is a man with a complex biography full of contrasts. A native of North Ossetia, he glorified Ukraine on the world arena of sports more than once, and, representing the highest legislative authority, was convicted of criminal matters ... How did the simple guy from Vladikavkaz reach the heights of the sports and political spheres? About this - below.

Childhood and youth

Tedeev Elbrus was born in the small village of Nogir, which is located in the outskirts of Vladikavkaz, on December 5, 1974. In his childhood, he was seriously involved in sports and was ready for big sacrifices for his sake. So, for example, it is known that, from the age of 11, the boy regularly crossed 10 kilometers on foot and back and forth between Nogir and Vladikavkaz in order to get to the training. Classes on freestyle wrestling took place at the stadium "Dynamo" in the main city of North Ossetia. The first coach of Tedeev was World Cup winner and winner of the Soviet Union Arthur Bazayev.

Moving to Kiev

In 1993, nineteen-year-old Elbrus happened to compete in the Russian championship, where a talented sportsman was noticed by a certain Boris Savlokhov - also a native of Ossetia. Savlokhov at that time permanently resided in Kiev, was a famous athlete and was well known in criminal circles. He met a fellow countryman and invited him to move to Ukraine. It is not known exactly what Boris Soslanovich proposed to a novice athlete, but Elbrus Tedeev agreed. He moved to Kiev, changed his citizenship and immediately began training under the guidance of his patron's brother, Ruslan Savlokhov.

About that period Tedeev recalls today with nostalgia. He says that he lived then, without knowing the worries and troubles. Boris Soslanovich gave him a car, provided with housing and a fixed salary. The young man did not have to think about daily bread, and he devoted all his time to training.

Brilliant sports career

Persistent trainings made themselves felt. Thanks to them today, Elbrus Tedeev is an athlete with a name and a lot of awards.

After working a year after moving as an athlete-instructor of the Ukrainian national wrestling team in the Ministry for Youth, Family and Sports, in 1995 Tedeev was appointed captain of this team. And further there were continuous victories. Three times (in 95, 99 and 2002), Elbrus became the world champion; Twice (in the 94th and 99th) - the champion of Europe. At the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996, he won bronze, and in Athens 2004 became "gold." During the closing ceremony of this Olympiad the Russian citizen was entrusted to carry the state flag of Ukraine, and millions of people then learned about a man named Elbrus Tedeev. His photos were decorated with the first pages of not only Ukrainian, but also foreign print media.

Later, the athlete, already a deputy, will say that he dedicates all his achievements to his new homeland - Ukraine. And Tedeev likes to talk about the special attitude to the sport that he and his comrades had at that time. They practiced almost round the clock, with real fanaticism, making short breaks only for small snacks.

Education

Somehow in the intervals between training and competition Elbrus Tedeev had time to learn also, understanding, apparently, that the age of the athlete is not so long. In 2003 he became a graduate of the National Institute of Physical Education and Sports; In 2005 received a diploma in law from the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts and at the same time graduated from the magistracy of the Kharkov Academy of Physical Education and Sports.

Elbrus Tedeev is a politician. Carier start

The arrival in the politics of the world champion and the Olympic Games for many became a big surprise. And the athlete himself, apparently, did not bear such plans from his youth. But nevertheless, since 2006 Elbrus Tedeev is a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the fifth convocation. Being non-partisan, he was on the list of the Party of Regions under the number 103 and passed. It was said that the regionals specially recruited strong young people with outstanding fighting qualities, because they were in opposition and were preparing for a fierce struggle for power. And indeed, neither Tedeev nor his colleagues in sport Arkalayev and Volkov, who also got to the Rada on the lists of the Party of Regions, were particularly active in the meeting room. But in various kinds of scuffles were seen repeatedly. They participated in the blocking and unblocking of the stands, provided physical support to the participants in the rallies of the anti-crisis coalition under the walls of the Constitutional Court and so on.

Officially, Elbrus Soslanovich was on the Verkhovna Rada Committee for Family, Youth and Sports Affairs, and also dealt with interstate relations with Russia, Belarus, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Korea, Peru and even the Republic of the Congo.

By the way, his deputieship lasted long enough. In 2007, he went to the Rada during early elections and in 2012, again received a mandate, already a member of the Party of Regions.

Known for special devotion to the regionals and fervent love for their leader and president of Ukraine from 2010 to 2014, Viktor Yanukovych, whom he called his king and God, and also the country's only hope.

Holosiivsky story

Back in the mid-nineties, many believed that Elbrus Tedeev - a member of the criminal group "Solokhi", led by his mentor and fellow countryman Boris Savlokhov. This fact was even recorded by law enforcement agencies - the name of the athlete and other data were in the database of the UBOP "Scorpion". Naturally, the free fighter himself denied any involvement in any criminal groupings. But at the same time he was regularly involved in questionable, and sometimes frankly, "muddy" stories.

For example, one of the first high-profile scandals was Goloseevsky. In 2009, in the Holosiivsky Park in Kiev, there were disassemblies with shooting, which resulted in injuries and deaths. On the spot, Tedeev's car with deputy numbers was seen. Behind the wheel, however, was not the people's choice, but a man named Robert Tedeev.

The case was under the personal control of the then Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Yuriy Lutsenko, who publicly accused Elbrus Soslanovich of involvement (albeit indirect) in the bloody showdown. The deputy did not recognize this fact, and also denied that Robert Tedeev is his relative, although the latter claimed the opposite. The presence of the car at the scene of events athlete explained by a simple coincidence.

As a result, at the very peak of the scandal, when the matter smelled of an early denouement, Lutsenko took back all his accusations, and Tedeev came out of the water.

Pecherskaya history

Another gloomy story took place in 2012. During the demolition of one of the illegal MAFs in the center of Kiev, communal workers were attacked by unknown people who beat them. Arriving at the scene of the militiamen, too, got a hard hit from the "brothers". And when the bandits were still tied up and sent to jail, deputy Tedeev appealed for them. And the criminals went to freedom without trial and investigation.

The leader of "titles"

They connect the name of Elbrus Tedeev with the so-called titles, known for their attacks on the participants of the euro-revolution in Ukraine 2013-2014. He is accused of collecting sportsmen and sending them to various tasks to protect the interests of the ruling Party of Regions. What exactly these protective measures were, it is easy to guess.

Tedeev and Evroimaydan

Also there is no difficulty in guessing about which side was the ardent regionalist during EuroMeidan in the winter of 2014-2015.

Law enforcement officers did not manage to find any evidence confirming the participation of Tedeev and his people in beating activists. But there is a lot of indirect evidence. For example, on the night of November 30, when the students were dispersed and severely beaten up on the Independence Square, the deputy, along with the well-known anti-Maidanists Dmitry Shentsev and Nestor Shufrych, was in the office of the head of the Kyiv administration, Alexander Popov. And these night gatherings, naturally, caused a lot of questions from journalists. The medics assumed that the trio was working on dark scenarios and even, perhaps, sent "titles" to the square, which provoked Berkut to take tough actions against the activists.

And it almost does not cause journalists doubt that Tedeev directed "titles" who attacked a couple of weeks later along with the "Berkutovs" against revolutionaries in various districts of Kiev.

Tedeev today

What does Elbrus Soslanovich Tedeev do today, when his king and god are no longer in power, and the regionals in the parliament were replaced by other forces?

He is no longer a deputy and is far from politics. True, you can not call him disgraced, and the former sportsman does not sit in the underground. He periodically participates in various conferences devoted to sports, publicly communicates with the heads of relevant departments, and was also seen in the courtroom of Kharkiv Mayor Gennady Kernes, with whom he is friendly.

Thus, it can be argued that the former regional Tedeev conducts today a very active social life.
