Favorite poets

Lilac is a favorite plant of gardeners and people with a poetic soul. It symbolizes the onset of spring, its aroma reminds us all of the warm summer days. When the bush is flowering with such bright and fragrant inflorescences as in the lilac, the garden is always filled with fragrance. It grows practically on all territory of Russia. Depending on the species (there are more than thirty of them), the flowering period can occur at the end of May or the beginning of June. Lilac belongs to the family of olives. Its bush reaches a height of about eight meters (if not cut off), the crown can be given a very aesthetic shape. The lilac is unpretentious and will be perfectly adopted on ordinary neutral soil. Soil with acidic reaction can be treated with dolomite flour or lime every three years. Underground waters should not lie very high - at a depth of one and a half meters. The bush grows more intensively in well-lit places. However, this arrangement is not mandatory, the lilac can grow in the shade. For the winter it should not be sheltered, since its frost resistance is simply legendary. Not afraid of lilacs are windy slopes, marshy soils and cold winds. Although, of course, the clay substrate and increased dampness will not allow the bush to gain strength and look as good as possible. Lilac saplings are transferred to a permanent place in late summer or early autumn. The plant needs some time to take root before the cold comes. For the winter, it is better to thicken the root of the young bush with peat or leaves. Abundantly watering the lilac is needed before the flowering begins. Faded brushes should be immediately cut off. You can trim the branches at any time of the year.

A bush blooming in pink flowers is a gentle briar

Select for this plant a site permanently illuminated by the sun, or better - a small hill. Never plant a dogrose on boggy soil - it immediately withers. If you are ready to fulfill these simple conditions, then there is a high probability that this outgoing handsome man will grow safely in your country house. The root system of dog rose is prone to overgrowth. This he looks like a raspberry. To block the path of uncontrolled sprawl, fence the bushes with a shallow ditch or dig up slate sheets to a depth of thirty centimeters. Planting wild rose is better in groups - then it will be more effective pollinated. In this case, you can not only admire its flowering, but also use useful fruits for making a variety of drinks. Propagate this shrubbery with root layers, seeds and seedlings.
