Diseases of the feet. Proper foot care

Common foot diseases are thrombophlebitis (phlebitis) and varicose veins. Diseases associated with phlebitis and varicose can occur in people of different ages. Even twenty-year-olds can see swollen veins and knots on their legs.

In thrombophlebitis, surface veins are affected. There is inflammation and clotting of blood. Phlebitis, as a rule, proceeds acutely, painfully. The thrombi tightly adhere to the walls of the vein and the probability of their detachment is small unlike thrombosis.

Symptoms of thrombophlebitis

There is swelling and redness of the skin over the vein, there is a local pain. Because of the coagulated blood in the vein, it feels like a hard cord under the skin. On this basis the doctor will immediately diagnose.

The increase in superficial veins on the legs is varicose veins. The exact cause of this foot disease has not yet been identified. It is suggested that hereditary factors or weakness of the veins walls influence. Weakened veins stretch, lengthen, wriggle like snakes, causing swelling of the skin above them. Vein enlargement leads to a rapid filling of their blood, when a person is standing. Thin-walled convoluted veins lengthen even more.

Symptoms of this leg disease

Varicosity is most often accompanied by rapid fatigue of the legs and painful sensations. However, in many people, even with severe varicose veins are absent. After the patient removes the sock or stocking, there is an itch of the shin and ankle. The brushes cause redness and skin rashes. Varicosity can be complicated by thrombophlebitis, dermatitis and bleeding. Diagnosis of varicose veins with the help of palpation, ultrasound and radiological examination.

Mycosis (fungus) is one of the frequent skin diseases of the feet. This parasitic fungus causes this disease. You can infect it when visiting baths, saunas, swimming pools, showers, and when wearing someone else's shoes. Walking barefoot in public places promotes the development of cutaneous foot disease.
