Ancient Egyptian temple - the pearl of a bygone civilization

The civilization of Ancient Egypt left after itself monumental structures that survived to this day. The very appearance of these grandiose constructions is due not only to the technical capabilities of ancient people, their architectural art, but also to developed religious and mythological views. Judging by everything that is left today, the structure was the most carefully constructed and luxurious than any other building during the entire era of the rule of Ramses II (1279-1213 BC). The building material for the sanctuary was small limestone and red-black granite for doorways. And also sandstone for columns and gypsum, from which the internal decoration of the walls was created.

Karnak Temple

This building today is the largest religious structure in the world. The sanctuary is one of the most ancient Egyptian structures. It Was built in honor of the moon god Khonsu, depicted in the form of a figure of a mummified baby, sometimes possessing the head of a falcon. During its inception, it was located in the administrative capital of the state. Its construction began during the reign of Amenhotep III, and was completed only by the pharaohs of the 20th dynasty.

Egyptian Temple of Hatshepsut

It was erected in honor of Queen Hatshepsut not far from the city of Thebes. In ancient times it was an amazing beauty, decorated with a multitude of terraces temple.
