Development of Mongolia

The MPR actively joined in solving the cardinal problems of our time, which are of vital importance for the peoples of the world. The MPRP and the government of the MPR pay special attention to the strengthening of peace in Asia, the realization of the idea of creating in Asia a system of collective security, the transformation of Asia into a continent of peace and good-neighborliness.

Being one of the militant and experienced detachments of the international communist and workers' movement, the MPRP consistently and principally supports the further strengthening of the unity of the countries of the socialist community and the unity of the world communist movement, waging an uncompromising struggle against anti-communism, anti-Sovietism, right and "left" opportunism. When in the sixties Mao Zedong and his entourage took the path of revision of Marxism-Leninism and proletarian internationalism, the MPRP, like other fraternal Marxist-Leninist parties, took a firm, principled stand on this issue. The development of Mongolia ...

At the same time, the MPRP did everything in its power to overcome the differences that had arisen with the leadership of the CCP on a principled Marxist-Leninist basis. For many years, the government of the MPR has repeatedly appealed to the Chinese side with proposals aimed at normalizing Mongolian-Chinese relations. This was evidenced by an official visit to China by the government delegation of the MPR in 1962, which culminated in the signing of a treaty on the border between the Mongolian People's Republic and the PRC. However, the implementation of anti-Mongolian policy both in the military-political and ideological fields did not stop. In the face of a real military threat, the MPR was forced to take the necessary measures to ensure its security.

In accordance with the Soviet-Mongol Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance of 1966 and the provisions of the UN Charter, at the request of the government of the MPR, the Soviet Union temporarily deployed military units on the territory of the MPR that, together with the Mongolian People's Army, guard the state independence and territorial integrity of the MPR .

In the Report of the Central Committee of the MPRP to the 18th Party Congress (May 1981) it was noted that the relationship with the PRC worsened not through the fault of the Mongolian People's Republic and that the MPR continued to adhere to its principled policy of restoring and developing normal relations with the PRC that would be in the interests of the Mongolian and Chinese people.
