Andrey Valentinov and his work

Who does not like secret stories? Surely every person is attracted to mystery and intrigue. Especially when it comes to historical facts. The books of writer Andrei Valentinov reflect the real history of mankind, into which magical forces, mighty warriors and incredible assumptions are inextricably intertwined.

Childhood and school

Andrey Valentinovich Shmalko (Andrey Valentinov - the creative pseudonym of the writer) was born on March 18, 1958 in the city of Kharkov, in the family of teachers. At the age of 7, I went to school. According to the author, he decided that he would not be different in the school - he would be neither the last nor the first. Visited in the Palace of Pioneers circle rocket modeling, fond of swimming and skiing. He loved literature and chemistry. The first work of Andrei wrote in the fourth grade, in the eighth he wrote a fantastic novel. He wrote poetry, which was liked by his few readers.

A teacher of literature, having noticed a literary talent in the boy, advised Andrei to enter the philological faculty. But a special place was occupied by history. He dreamed of going to an archaeological expedition. Once during a vacation in the Crimea Valentinov Andrew found an expedition in Chersonese. He was like, looked at how archaeologists work. And in the soul of a teenager a dream was born - to get into the real expedition. So the goal was set - to study on the historical or archaeological.

Student years

Immediately after school, he enters Kharkov University. In his first year he chose the Department of Ancient World and Archeology. The theme of the course work was Ancient Rome. After the first course I went on an expedition to the city of Zmiyiv, where in 1180 Prince Igor founded several fortifications. After 2 years, also near Kharkov, burial mounds of the Royal Scythians. After the third year, the museum practice began. From the outside it may seem like a rather boring occupation, but in fact the students went on expeditions.

It was interesting to study, excellent teachers advised their students to read literature in German and English, Spanish and Italian. And after graduating from university, students inexplicably "acquired" the ability to speak languages. In one of the interviews the writer Andrei Valentinov said that he was very lucky to learn from talented teachers. They knew their business to the nuances, really loved it and taught it to their students.

In 1980, Andrew graduated from the university with a red diploma and, according to the distribution, went to the first work in life - in school. As the author recalls, he "held out" there only a year and a half and decided to study further. And in January 1982, the writer Valentinov Andrew was already in graduate school. He again plunged into science, and the years spent in graduate school, he remembered as the most interesting in life. In 1985 he defended the candidate's degree, after which he taught at the Institute of Arts.

The beginning of the creative path

In his spare time he wrote short stories and poems. From the written light, I saw only one story - "The Resurrection of Brass." Despite the circumstances, Andrei was on an expedition every year, kept diaries and compiled reports, which formed the basis of the books "Constellation of the Dog" and "Sphere". The material was sufficient for a number of scientific articles. In 1991, Valentinov wrote the novel "Flegetton", in 1992 - "Eye of the Force". In 1995, the novel "Criminals" was published.

Within two years (1996-1997) almost all the books of the author that had been lying for long years were published. Andrei Valentinov says that from this moment began a real literary life. He attends conventions, receives literary awards, among which the most appreciates "Start" - the award for the trilogy "The Eye of Power".

Creativity of Andrey Valentinov

The writer, explaining the term "crypto-history," says that in fact he did not create a new genre or method. And did not try. He does not argue with history, but specifies how things happened, and follows logic and fantasy, as there are "white spots" in it. A remarkable historian, he surprises the reader with unusual facts of the past, throws incredible assumptions and facts.

But not only ingenious and intricate intrigues are good books by Andrei Valentinov. Unusual images of real historical figures, conspiracy theories, many secrets draw readers. The author raises difficult problems of the person. Mysticism and history are so interwoven that it is not easy to understand. Plots of novels are weaved into intricate patterns, abound with "tasty" episodes and enthrall the reader.

Cycle "The Eye of Power"

In a stunning, seemingly fantastic epic, the 20th century is rethought. The events of the novel frighten their realism, make them think: "Perhaps the author is right? Perhaps the insanity that engulfed the people during the Civil War and Stalinist repressions lies not only in sociological problems? Maybe this was indeed an experiment on the whole people? "This monumental cycle is a secret, hidden history of the 20th century: the 1920s - class struggle and revolution, 1937 - death reigning in the country, 1991 - tragic events at the walls of the White House, 1923 - disease Leader and expectation of change.

The Spartak cycle

Almost documentary, the first book "Spartacus" unambiguously and openly reveals to the reader historical facts. And it gives the opportunity to "feel" every statement of the author. The story is full of assumptions. In the second book of the cycle "Angel of Spartacus", it grows into a fascinating story. The author leads the reader from the episode to the episode of the biography of the main character, and involuntarily admires the leader of the slaves.

The Mycenaean cycle conveys the mystery and beauty of ancient Greece. Heroes of myths and fairy tales appear before the reader by people with destiny, which they did not want. But they were able to resist it. The cycle "Oriya" will tell about the bloody struggle in the era of the Great Migration of Nations. The books of Andrei Valentinov are a splendid example of historical fiction, heavily mixed with real events.
