Deposit: what is it. Deposit of money, valuables, as well as works

Storage of funds, works of art and other values can be carried out in various ways. One of them is the deposit. What is it and how is it realized? The given process is organized, that is it is made out under certain rules and with obligatory granting of the documents confirming transfer on storage of those or other things. The place, as well as the terms of the deposit, depend on what exactly is the subject of the contract between the parties, which can be both physical and legal persons. Let's consider existing variants of this process and we will begin with the most habitual and widespread - monetary deposition. What is it and how is it carried out?

Deposit of money: types of sales

When money is transferred to the deposit of a banking organization, they are told of their deposit. This concept is broad and includes several storage options:

  • poste restante;
  • Urgent.

These processes practically do not differ in the way they are implemented, but only have different terms and conditions for the withdrawal of money. The depositor makes a contribution of a certain amount of money to an account opened with a credit institution, and the latter, in turn, gives him a certificate of deposit of money in writing. A document is called a certificate of deposit. It confirms the right of the person (depositor) to receive the relevant amount deposited with the bank. If the deposit is made on demand, you can get the money back at any time upon presentation of the specified document. Interest accrued during this time is not lost, so this service is used if you plan to withdraw funds in the near future or at the first necessity.

An equally popular banking service is an urgent deposit. What does this mean? The fact that the money is transferred for safekeeping for a certain period of time stipulated in advance by the parties. During this period, interest is accrued on the deposit amount, which is higher than the interest on the demand deposit. However, the withdrawal of funds before the deadline provided by the contract will lead to their loss. In a number of countries, urgent deposit certificates turn around and can be sold to dealers and depositors of a credit institution with a loss of interest. This practice exists, for example, in the USA.

Deposit: bank cell

In the narrow sense, the deposit of funds in a bank means their storage in a banking cell. Money is not used as a client's investment, but only stored in a credit institution. In this case, it is not about accrued interest and turnover of financial resources. Why keep money in the cell, if you can put them in a bank account and still earn it? Typically, this practice is used in the performance of various transactions to ensure the guarantee of their execution.

Ex-mechanism

This mechanism is most often used as a method of securing execution of a transaction between the parties. As a rule, these are settlements on shares, other securities and when buying / selling real estate. The ex-agent is an independent person who implements the agreement when the parties fulfill the terms of the transaction. The most popular form of the ex-mechanism is a bank deposit. This "reservation" of a certain amount of money in a bank cell (sometimes on a special deposit account).

The seller can receive them in the event that he has fully complied with all the terms of the transaction specified in the trilateral agreement. If they are not met, the deposited funds are returned to the buyer. This process is called "escrow". At the same time, the contract clearly spells out the slightest nuances of the transaction, the list of documents necessary to provide documents, etc. After careful checking by the agent of the ex-fulfillment of all conditions, the transaction is either carried out or torn.

The object of depositing is most often cash, but there may be securities, documents, and non-cash funds. In Russian practice, such options for depositing are used less often.

Bank reserves and factor of deposit

Commercial banks not only accept cash for depositing, but also transfer them to the main bank of the country - the Central Bank of Russia. They are called obligatory reserves and serve to regulate the liquidity of the banking system. The reserve requirements are set by the Bank of Russia, depending on how it is necessary to influence the size and structure of the money supply in the country.

It consists of the cash resources of the population and bank reserves. The first are the main supply of money, the latter determine the ability to create deposits by the banking system. The manner in which funds are distributed between cash and deposits demonstrates the deposit factor. It shows the preferences of the population regarding the choice of the form of storing money. How to calculate the deposit factor? The formula is the ratio of the amount of cash to the amount of all bank deposits. The higher this coefficient and the norm of mandatory reserves, the lower will be the credit potential of the country's economy.

Deposit of works and copyrights

This type of deposit, like the transfer of goods for storage, is used for a number of reasons:

  • To prove authorship;
  • To fix the date of creation of the work;
  • To preserve the very subject of value.

Representatives of creative professions are often faced with such a phenomenon as plagiarism. To warn him and provide documentary evidence of his authorship can be through the registration of the created work. This process is also called "depositing". This is a procedure that is carried out by special services, for example, the Center for Expertise of Intellectual Property in Russia. The register includes information about the author, as well as the work itself. This information may be provided in resolving copyright disputes and court cases.

When registering a work, the author is given an official confirmation of his rights - a certificate of deposit. You can get it for such types of property as objects of painting, sculpture, architecture, design, musical and literary works, photographs, computer programs, etc. To do this, you need to provide them with a copy, as well as full information about the place and time of creation, information about the author And his signature.

Methods of Deposit of a Work

Deposit can be simple, open and implemented through registration in the Russian copyright society. The first option is related to the storage of the directly created product. It itself is not studied, but only packaged, sealed and left in a safe place for a certain period. The author is given a certificate of deposit with information about the work. This option is suitable in cases where it is necessary:

  • To ensure the preservation of the art object itself;
  • Confirm the date of registration of the work (proves that it was created earlier than transferred for depositing).

When registering copyright, the work and authorship are registered with the introduction of information on the intellectual property product in a single register. This type of deposit provides a solid evidence base when plagiarism is found to assert its unconditional rights as a creator.

Other types of deposits

Most often you can hear about such types of deposits listed above, as financial resources and works of art. Often, securities and documents are deposited. To this end, they are transferred to the depositories, banks, archives, reference and information funds and other special organizations.

There is also a deposit in international law. In this case it is a question of signed and approved treaties between governments, organizations of different countries, instruments of ratification, accession to the treaty, etc. They (their original text) are deposited with the depositary through a diplomatic or other authorized representative. During the deposit, the relevant document is recorded in a protocol that is drawn up in the international depository organization or the foreign office of the country that is the depositary.

Depositing in medicine

This term is also found in medicine. Speech is about the unique abilities of our body. He is also able to store certain substances for their subsequent use at the right time. It can be the deposition of blood, hormones, fats. They are temporarily excluded from the processes of exchange and circulation, when there are enough and excessive quantities for the functioning of the body. And in times of deficiency, stress, illness, etc., they are used to maintain normal life.

There is also a negative deposition - it is the accumulation of various toxins, radioactive and medicinal substances in the tissues and organs of man. They enter the body from the environment and interfere with its normal functioning.
