"Dedicated": actors. "Initiate" - the last film by Oleg Teptsov

In 1990, there were very few films in the genre of mystical drama. This is due to the fact that in Soviet times there were very few scenarios on this topic. Director Oleg Teptsov released two films in 1989-1990: "Master Designer" and "Initiate", which are mysterious and dramatic stories. For the filming of the second film, actors were carefully selected, "Dedicated" for many now well-known artists became an additional launching pad that allowed them to move from theater to cinema.

"Dedicated" was the second film of Teptsov and completed his career as a creator of feature films. Later, the director wrote scripts and released two documentary films.
In the film "Dedicated" actors and roles were distributed very organically. This drama tells of a young man who acquired the gift to kill people with the help of willpower. Vladimir Simonov and Sergey Makovetsky

Actor Vladimir Simonov starred in this drama at the very beginning of his career. He came to the cinema in 1981. He did not expect much from the film, like many other actors. Many actors of the "Initiate" were considered a film in which they opened on the other side. For Polishchuk this film was not a debut, at that time the whole country knew her as an actress of a comic genre. "Dedicated" was her 38 work in film, and this film was significantly different from the previous ones. The actress played the role of the main character's mother. It was a secondary role, and the dramatic, not accustomed to Lubov Polishchuk comedy.

Actors of the film "Initiate" before the shooting were tested. This is the standard selection procedure for any film. These samples were unusual for Polischuk.
