The main stages of production

The raw materials for the production of clinker paving stones are refractory clay species, usually several varieties. The extracted raw materials in production are mixed in proportions according to the recipe, the main requirement is the melting point. For the production of several varieties of clay are mixed, pass the preparatory stages, which include moistening, extrusion, drying and roasting. At the final stage, the clay should melt and "cake", but it should not be allowed to form a glass-like material. The temperature in the kiln for the production of clinker cladding is 1350-1580 degrees Celsius.

The clinker pavers have a palette of natural colors. In the production of clinker types of finishing materials, dyes are not used. Color is achieved by using a combination of clay species, temperature conditions, or residence time in the kiln during firing. It is for this reason that you can rarely find a batch of paving stones, consisting of absolutely identical color bricks. The color scale will vary by tone or two tones in the total mass of the lot.

Clinker pavers have several types, each of them is used in its operating environment.

• Sidewalk clinker paving stones. The thickness of the tile is about 4.2 cm. It is used for laying the pavement pedestrian zone, the paths of household plots, as a blind area around buildings for private or administrative purposes.
• Paving roads. The thickness of the tiles for the load cover is 4.2 cm to 5.2 cm. This kind of pavers can be used for roads laid inside the blocks of residential buildings, in parking lots and parking lots.
• Lawn bricks. Following from the name, it is used for arrangement of lawns. In the structure has holes through which the grass grows. Most often used for parkings with grass cover.
• Clinker brick with through holes or aqua-transit clinker. Convenient kind of pavers for sidewalks with the ability to quickly remove water from the pedestrian zone.

The clinker pavers have practically no flaws. Environmentally friendly material does not pollute the environment, even if the paving is damaged and remains without dismantling in place, it will not harm nature and man.

High durability of high-quality pavers makes it possible to withstand operational loads of up to 2000 kilograms per square centimeter. A low water absorption index allows this type of pavement to be distinguished by a high level of frost resistance. Water practically does not penetrate into the pores of the material, which is very convenient for latitudes with different temperature conditions, because the service life is much longer. Also, the paving stone is resistant to the absorption of oils, acids and other aggressive reagents.

Disadvantages of the material

The main disadvantage is the cost. It is conditioned by the technological process, raw materials and delivery. Also, the clinker pavers are not uniform in color. Each batch will contain samples of different colors approximating to the main one, but sometimes this is an advantage if you are an eco-design supporter.

Laying clinker pavers

Paving of clinker tiles implies the construction of several preparatory technological layers. The lowest layer is a leveled compacted natural soil, the next layer consists of sand or screening, on which the clinker pavers are laid. The distance between individual bricks / tiles is filled with stone crumb and fixed with bitumen with thermoplastic mixtures. Laying of clinker tiles is carried out in a simple form or according to a design drawing, which gives the space an individuality and style.

Availability

The main producers of clinker pavers, tiles and bricks are German industry leaders. In Russia, the production of clinker paving stones began to develop relatively recently. Domestic counterparts are not inferior as European, but so far have a limited range.

Clinker paving of Russian production is favorably priced, since production facilities are located in the Russian Federation, logistics costs are insignificant in comparison with the delivery from the EU, and the quality meets world standards.
