Character and signs of menstruation in girls

Signs of the onset of menstruation indicate that the girl has reached a new stage in her life - the stage of puberty. And this period is accompanied by the appearance of menstruation - the discharge of blood from the genitals at regular intervals. As a rule, these discharges (menstruation) appear 1 time per month and last for 3-5 days. The menstrual cycle can range from 21 days to 30, which is considered normal, especially if it is regular. It is for this reason that the girl needs to have a special calendar, where she will celebrate all the coming "critical" days.

Sexual maturity of girls depends on many factors, including climatic conditions. For example, in southern teenagers living in southern latitudes, the first signs of menstruation appear a little earlier than in the representatives of northern latitudes. On the average, in healthy girls, the first menstrual periods appear at the age of 13-15 years. In pathology of development of reproductive organs or weakened health, the first menstruation may not occur until 19 years.

The first signs of menstruation in girls

Signs of the appearance of the first menstruation is increased excitability, poor sleep, irritability, lower abdominal pains, the appearance of whites on underwear. During this period, the girl needs special attention of the mother, whose duty is to explain the meanings of monthly discharges of blood.

In healthy girls, the menstrual cycle is established immediately, while the sick often have a disorder, accompanied by an increase or decrease in the amount of blood released. Mom should help her daughter monitor the regularity of menstruation and, in case of abnormalities, advise to visit a doctor.

The appearance of the first menstruation is preceded by the formation of the mammary glands, the enlargement of the pelvis and the rounding of the shoulders. In the armpits and pubic hair grows. The angular teen turns into a girl with pleasant body shapes. Such changes begin to occur with the girlish organism even before the first signs of menses appear.

Each girl should know that with the appearance of monthly excretions in her body, there are cyclical changes that contribute to the preparation of the body for conceiving and bearing a child. The process of ovulation, in which the ovarian follicles increase in size, bursts and from them the germ cells that enter the uterine tube are carried out by the current of the fluid (occurs 14 days before the onset of menstruation).

In place of the follicle, a yellow body is formed, which consists of a cluster of yellow cells lining the walls of the follicle. If fertilization does not occur, then the yellow body resolves. The yellow body and liquid from the follicles represent a special kind of hormones that exert a great influence on the vital activity of the female body.

If fertilization does not occur, the mucous membrane of the uterus disintegrates and exits the body in the form of menstruation. In this period, the inner walls of the uterus are an open wound, which is why there is a risk of infection. After the signs of the monthly disappear, the uterine mucosa is restored.

These processes occur, as a rule, for 4 weeks, after which the process of maturation of the egg is repeated throughout the reproductive period in the life of a woman. Sex hormones affect not only the cyclic changes, but also the functioning of the whole organism.

Symptoms of menstruation do not indicate the sexual maturity of the girl, and therefore it should be remembered that sexual activity can begin when the age of 18 is reached, when the formation of the female body is completed. Early pregnancy and childbirth have a negative impact, both on the young mother and on the baby.

The menstrual cycle can be accompanied by malaise and increased fatigue, but most women on such days continue to engage in normal activities. In case of pain or increased blood loss during menstruation, it is necessary to visit a gynecologist.
