Channel split-system. Channel-type air conditioner. Prices, installation

The concept of separation of air conditioners into several units has long been successfully applied by the largest manufacturers, which are engaged in the development of climate equipment. Recently, segmentation of this niche has been observed. If before the main competitor of split-systems was the classic one-piece model, then today there is a struggle for the buyer within the segment. Rivalry in the market occurs between devices that assume the creation of holes in the wall, and the technique that the split-channel system in the standard version represents. These units do not have many structural differences, but they have a serious impact on technical and operational capabilities.

Features of channel conditioning

First of all, it is necessary to emphasize the main difference between such installations and the traditional one-piece form factor. It is expressed in the fact that the structure forms several components. Usually the channel split system involves interaction between the evaporative and compressor modules. In this case, the implementation of multi-designs is possible, in which there may be several internal blocks.

Actually, the same features have a classic split-system. But, unlike it, installation of the channel equipment is made not through the wall, but in the duct shaft. For example, the Mitsubishi split channel system, in some modifications, involves the laying of an air passage through its own air duct, while also using third-party climate equipment. That is, the technique can be supplemented with the help of a communication shaft by conventional split-systems.

Device of channel air conditioners

Evaporator, as a rule, is represented by a cassette unit, which is mounted in a hidden way. This is another feature that distinguishes channel installations from conventional split systems. This decision is due to the fact that the duct itself assumes the provision of space in the supra-ceiling niche, and its operation is accompanied by noise. For this reason, it is advisable to use the hidden cassette units. Also, the channel split system provides for the construction of a route providing the connection between the evaporator and the condenser-compressor. Usually such mines are formed by copper pipes, through which the refrigerant passes during the operation of the equipment. It is noteworthy that such channels operate parallel to the ventilation passages, through which the internal module is also supplied with air flows.

Principle of operation

The internal segment of the structure is provided by outdoor air, after which the distribution of these flows throughout the room is carried out using the fan built into the fan unit. It is worth noting that before the air masses are released, their processing takes place in the evaporation module. In a modern design, a split-channel system can both heat and cool air in accordance with specified microclimate values. In this part of the principle of operation of such units is similar to traditional air conditioners.

It should also be noted the features that have installations operating on water heating. In the usual configuration, the use of electric heaters for heating is assumed, but in this case a water base is used to regulate the temperature regime. Regardless of the technical implementation, a split-channel system provides efficient filtering. Since the design involves working with air masses in large volumes, cleaning is carried out in several stages.

Installation Rules

The external unit can be installed both in a hinged position with the help of brackets, and with the support of a special stand. Next, the most critical part is done - laying the power cable and the route for feeding freon. Together with this, installation of air ducts is made, on the basis of which the split system will operate. The instruction recommends in advance to provide proper heat and moisture insulation of these channels, since the condensate in the places of the gasket negatively affects the materials used.

It is equally important to initially calculate the grid itself of the branching of the ducts. If an uncomplicated system is planned that includes two units, then installation will not cause any special difficulties. For example, the route will assume only one direction and the installer will only need to choose the most rational path. In turn, the channel multi-split system requires a preliminary layout of the installation. In this configuration, several modules can be used, which complicates the laying of routes and airway shafts.

Pros and cons of channel air conditioners

Among the undoubted merits of such models is the high productivity and rational consumption of energy resources. The possibility of installing several evaporative units with one central compressor is much more cost-effective than installing the same number of monoblock air conditioners. If to speak about lacks, the channel split-system is very exacting to designing and installation. The editing process is rather complicated and, as a rule, it is performed by specialists. There is also a shortcoming in the form of noisy work, although in the last models there is a minimization of this factor.

Producers of channel systems

The complexity of the channel installations has determined the specific specificity of the segment of such a technique. Nevertheless, the choice is quite diverse both in the budgetary sector and at a high level. Leading positions are occupied by such companies as Daikin, Toshiba and Fujitsu. Also to the first-class products is the Mitsubishi split-split system, represented by the Mr. Slim. As for the entry-level equipment, it is represented by Electrolux, Ballu, Midea and others.

Price issue

Large-scale projects involving the provision of climate equipment for private homes, offices and industrial buildings, of course, require serious financial investments. And still, converting initial costs into performance indicators justifies all the costs that a split system requires. The price of the equipment itself varies on average from 40 to 60 thousand rubles. Specific amounts depend on the number of indoor units, technological level of technology, capacity and functional filling.

Conclusion

Duct installation for air conditioning is not without reason considered by experts as semi-professional. The ability to provide optimal microclimate indicators for large areas is valued in such equipment most. For apartments and small private houses, such a split system is rarely used. The price of 40-60 thousand rubles. It also does not promote the widespread distribution of such equipment among ordinary consumers. But in providing buildings, office premises, enterprises, shopping complexes and public institutions, channel conditioning itself shows the best. First, such systems provide high performance indicators, and secondly, they differ in availability in maintenance and maintenance.
