Ceramic granite under the tree on the floor - a beautiful and durable coating

Ceramic granite is a relatively new facing material in the modern construction market. Due to its unique technical characteristics and excellent decorative qualities, it quickly gained a high position in the consumer rating and is widely used for interior and exterior decoration works. Collections of tiles from porcelain stoneware are very diverse. They can be matte, glossy, embossed. Often plates mimic natural materials. For example, granite under a tree on the floor will be a very worthy choice for living quarters.

Composition

Materials for the production of porcelain stoneware are the same as for the usual tile. These are clay, quartz sand, mica, feldspar, various dyes and mineral additives. But the final result is different, the reason for that is in a different production technology. The history of the use of ceramic tiles has more than one century, whereas porcelain tiles on the building materials market are only a few decades old. And while their popularity is almost the same. We can assume that granite is an improved version of ceramic tiles.

Production technology

The mass of the crushed ingredients first of all is pressed in molds at a pressure of the order of 500 kg per 1 sq. Cm. The second stage of porcelain stoneware production is its firing at a temperature of up to 1300 ° C. As a result, the tile is sintered so that its structure is homogeneous, dense and practically free of pores. After that, there are final processing processes: polishing, trimming faces and others.

This is a classic technology, but if you want to get a tile with a certain, including a relief, surface pattern, the pressing is carried out not in one stage, but in several. It is logical that porcelain stoneware can be stylized as a natural stone, but this is far from all its possibilities. It is really possible to find tiles with imitation of natural leather, animal skins, metal, artificially aged surfaces, soil. More and more popular is porcelain for the floor under the tree (photo in the review).

Advantages and disadvantages

This material has an increased wear resistance and does not abrade at high regular loads. According to the hardness of ceramic granite only slightly falls short of diamond, so it will never show any cracks or chips. In addition to the qualities already listed, ceramic tiles are not afraid of moisture, no exposure to chemically active substances, or significant temperature changes.

As for the shortcomings, the flooring made of porcelain stoneware is very cold to the touch. The only way to somehow warm it is to equip the system of the warm floor, which increases its already high cost. The installation of ceramic granite is possible only on a carefully leveled surface. Despite the high strength, with improper transportation or installation, tiles can crack. Another conditional drawback - the surface of granite is slippery enough. But now slabs with anti-slip coating are produced .

Areas of use

Ceramic granite is widely used in industrial premises, in the metro and at stations. As for household use of this material, tiles from porcelain stoneware are suitable for flooring in places with increased terrain: hallways, kitchens, living rooms. Ceramic granite is also used for outdoor works: decorating the facades of buildings, laying out tracks, steps of stairs, open verandas.

Porcelain stoneware under the tree on the floor: romance of wood and stone fortress

Natural materials are valued more and more - this trend is obvious. Therefore, manufacturers of various artificial coatings take care that in the line of their collections there are options that mimic the structure of natural raw materials. In addition to the texture of natural stone, ceramic granite under the tree on the floor is also popular. Coloring such a tile can have a grandiose amount, imitating completely different types of wood, from pine to oak. The floor on which the tiles under the tree is laid can look like decorated with piece, decorative, artistic parquet or a parquet board.

With all the love for such a natural material as wood, it is worth acknowledging that it is not always practical. Aggressive environment and significant mechanical impact can after some time cause serious damage to the coating. Of course, there are many synthetic materials that look like wood. But they, unlike porcelain stoneware, have more flaws. They are inferior in strength, durability, fire safety, and they can not be called environmentally friendly. A granite under the tree on the floor can be placed completely fearless. It, although it is an artificial material, is created exclusively from natural raw materials and does not distinguish any harmful substances.

Porcelain tiles for living rooms

Ceramic granite on the kitchen floor under the tree perfectly combines not only the aesthetics of natural wood, but the practicality of ceramic tiles. For a room like a kitchen, where everything spills and falls all the time, where you constantly have to wash the floor, this choice of flooring makes sense. Caring for the surface of granite is an order of magnitude simpler than for wood. Do not need any grinding, no mastic - simple enough wet cleaning.

In the hallways, granite will also be appropriate because of its high wear resistance and ease of maintenance. Porcelain for the floor in the living room under the tree will look very noble, and at the same time it will not leave any marks from the shoes and furniture legs. Such a coating does not have to be zealously protected from damage and periodically restored, like the same parquet.

So, to choose facing tiles from such material as granite under a tree on the floor it is possible to any interior: from classical to minimalism and hi-tech, and it will serve more than one generation.
