Catchment - a flower of unusual shape
Aquilegia is an interesting elegant plant, a representative of the family of buttercups. Its popular name is "catchment". This flower differs unpretentiousness and it is often used to decorate flower beds and lawns. In nature, it is distributed in the temperate latitudes of Europe and Russia. Currently, 120 species of this plant are known. The third name of the aquilegia is Orlik. The fact is that the flowers of this plant are somewhat like eagle claws.
Seed is sown in both spring and autumn. In the latter case, it is possible to obtain more amicable shoots. Catchment - a flower that can grow on almost any soil. However, the most interesting result can be achieved only if the soil on the site is loose, air-permeable and water-permeable. It is very good, if the place for landing of the catchment area will be slightly shaded. He feels well enough in the sun, but at the same time it grows smaller flowers. It is best to plant aquilegia under trees with ferns and irises. An excellent solution will also be the use of this plant to design a pond.

As for feeding, during the season this plant is fertilized three times. First time - in the spring, in May, the second - at the beginning of flowering and the third - in the autumn, after it is over and the peduncles will be cut off. Four-year catchments are small. In the event that different types of catchment are planted near each other, they can be dusted. This will result in an aquilegia hybrid. Hybrids of this plant are distinguished by originality and elegance, and therefore are often deduced and artificially. All varieties of eagles can be used for planting on flower beds and lawns. Even if the plant does not bloom for some reason, it will still be an excellent decoration due to its charming triple sieve-green leaves.
Hybrid aquilegia is best grown in seedlings. Seeds are pre-soaked in a solution of potassium permanganate (0.1%) for half an hour, and then washed. Soil in boxes also need to be poured slightly pink solution a day before disembarkation. On the surface of the soil, grooves are made at a distance of about 2.5 cm from each other. Seeds are laid out in steps of about two centimeters.
