Cadet classes: characteristics, structure, rules of admission, training

In recent years, such a concept as the Cadet schools has become quite popular. And despite the fact that their history goes back to old times (as they have always been), their number has increased significantly over the past year. So, for a year in 116 schools were opened cadet classes in Moscow. The most surprising thing is that getting into these classes is not so easy, and the program differs from the general elementary school. And the school day ends here only in the evening, because after the lessons the Cadets have a lot more to do: they shoot at a shooting gallery, go in for sports, learn to waltz and much more. But to begin with it is necessary to understand everything in order.

A bit of history

The very word "cadet" is French, it means "junior", "minor". Before the revolution in France, those young people who were admitted to the palace for military service were called so, then they became officers. So we can say that, having become Cadets, they put the first stone in their officer's profession.

In Russia, the first cadet corps appeared in the 18-19 centuries. But their life was short-lived, as the October Revolution began, and the corps was closed. And only after the Great Victory they reopened. Gradually all the new cadet corps were added to all the famous Suvorov and Nakhimov schools. And soon came the idea to open a cadet school, which soon realized.

The emergence of schools

The very idea of creating such schools arose recently, in 2014, when celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory. The idea was so popular with management, parents, and even schoolchildren that it soon became a reality and began to expand, enjoying wide popularity.

Cadet classes - what is it?

First of all, we need to understand what the cadet classes are. In fact, the characterization of the Cadet class is very simple: it is an initial military judicial institution, where the program of the secondary school is also provided. But the main nail of these institutions is that schoolchildren are trained and trained to become military.

Many also may be interested in what cadet classes there are. To date, the cadets (the so-called students of the cadet classes) are recruited from the 7th grade. But there is also a cadet corps from the 5th grade. We can say that there are practically no restrictions. Although many opponents complain and argue that collecting children 11 years (from the fifth grade) - this is wrong, because in these schools the program is very complex and tough. But nothing is done just like that, the curriculum is completely written according to the age of the children. From this it follows that the 5th grade (cadet) is a preparation for more serious activity. That is why the children perceive the Cadet classes as a kind of game at the very beginning of the training.

But still very popular schools that recruit students in the corps (cadet) after the 9th grade.

What are the criteria for recruiting cadets?

Actually, not everyone is able to enter the cadet class. Become a cadet can the child who:

  • Physical well.
  • Good student.

Before the child enters the classroom, he undergoes a complete examination. But as is known, for each rule there are exceptions: those children, one of whose parents are military, enter the cadet classes out of turn, also this applies to those whose parent was killed during the execution of the military order. For the rest there is a strict selection. Since the Cadet classes differ in their load both in the physical and in the educational plan.

Structure of Cadet Classes

Since this phenomenon is new to the people, there is a need to understand the structure of the cadet classes. In fact, it differs in everything from the general education school, to which all are accustomed.

First of all, it is important to understand that there are different forms of Kadetism.

Cadet Corps

They are subordinate to the Ministry of Defense. This type is a boarding house, from where the child can return home only after receiving a leave. In these buildings, the curriculum is nothing more than the orders of the Ministry of Defense.

Cadet schools

This species is already subordinated to the department of education, it is easier to say, it is a kind of general educational institution in which students, in addition to general subjects, also acquire military training. In cadet schools, children wear a special uniform and follow an organized regime of the day. In this case, the children return home in the evenings. And what is most interesting, children can be recruited there, starting with the first class.

The differences between the Cadet classes and the school

Cadet classes emphasize history. In them, students study this subject in depth. This is the rule for each school, and as for the study of other subjects, everything depends on the institution, which has the right to independently draw up a curriculum. But mainly in Cadet schools, the advantage is given to such subjects as mathematics, physics, foreign languages.

To date, there are cadet classes (in Moscow) for boys, for girls and mixed.

в столовую, а после обеда они идут не домой, как это происходит в обычных школах, а на строевую подготовку. Also, these schools differ from others because after the lessons are over, the cadets are marching into the dining room, and after dinner they go not to go home, as is done in ordinary schools, but to drill. And the classes themselves are called a platoon, and the elder is called the commander. After the cadets, additional courses begin, which include:

  • Shooting at the dash.
  • Dancing.
  • Courses of military translators.
  • Sambo.

Then they are given the command "Free, go." This means that children can return home. Little cadets return home no earlier than seven in the evening.

Already from the above it becomes clear that the program here is very heavy, and not every child can withstand such loads.

Among other things, platoons are divided into branches. старшиной взвода, а потом и командирами отделения. And the most authoritative and disciplined cadets can become a sergeant-major of the platoon, and then commanders of the department. The Cadets have a special form, an official appeal and a motto: "To God is the soul, life to the fatherland, duty to oneself, honor to no one."

Do I have to give the child to a cadet school?

Naturally, training in this mode is not suitable for everyone. And then it's not even the burden of education, but the fact that in cadet schools children live like soldiers. They have 3 sets of uniforms that exclude any manifestation of individual style. Cadets everywhere go in a ranks, they every day begins and ends with drill training.

Of course, every parent decides whether his child needs such a disciplined way of life from childhood. The fact that the cadet classes make children more responsible, more prepared for life. After training in such schools, children can set themselves the task, plan and, following the intended goal, reach the necessary result.

Children themselves often like this military way, they are happy to engage in drill training, learn the basics of military service. And after a certain age, it becomes a part of their life and is perceived as something natural.

In fact, the Cadets are not only trained for military life or for the army, but also are taught to be decent, disciplined, able to forgive and help the needy.

But there is another important point: parents need to remember that military education is a special kind of thinking. с другими детьми и даже со своей семьей. And the child, from childhood studying in this environment, can simply not get on with other children and even with his family. Therefore, the cadet classes for girls are less popular than for boys.

But despite all this, every year the number of those wishing to enter the cadet classes is growing and growing. Naturally, this desire in most cases of parents. And this has a reasonable explanation:

  • If the parents decide and want their child to receive and continue military education.
  • If parents want to raise a real man, a patriot.
  • If parents notice that their child is more disciplined, plodding, and in the classroom other children interfere with him and distract him.
  • And, perhaps, the most common case: a cadet school is given to that child-fidget, who needs rigor and discipline. Such children are easily re-educated, and even parents are surprised at the positive changes in their children.

Why is their number growing so fast?

Among all the advantages that are given above, it became clear why the Cadet classes have become so popular. The numbers speak for themselves: since 2014, the cadet classes (St. Petersburg) have opened their doors to 50,000 future cadets.

Many do not like the fact that only Moscow-registered children can study in Moscow cadet schools. But the fact that the education here is free, everyone likes. The parent pays only for the form.

And in recent years, the military profession has become popular , and after graduating from a cadet class, a child can easily enter a military school, and it will be much easier for him, since he is already accustomed to the regime, he knows the basics of military affairs. More than 75% of students in cadet classes enter military schools and continue to build careers.

Despite the fact that the requirements here are very high, nevertheless the cadet can move to another class if he has any problems.

To give a child to a cadet school or not is a personal matter, but one thing is more important. Before deciding on something, ask your child's opinion. Do not force him to do what he does not want, especially since he can not.
