Burgas: sights of Bulgaria

One of the big cities that stretches on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria is Burgas. During the Roman period on this place was the settlement of Debellum, the basis of which belongs to the emperor Vespasnon. Military veterans were resettled here. Thanks to healing springs, hospitals were subsequently opened here. Its current name was given to the city only in the 16th century. Attractions of this resort are, first of all, beaches, natural lakes and amazing architectural structures. Positive aspects are a pleasant climate, untouched parkland and a relaxed atmosphere.

So where do you start exploring the most interesting places when you come to Burgas? The sights of this city consist of a huge list, the first place is occupied by the Marine Park. It stretches on a high bank and stretches for seven kilometers along the sea. The first thing that catches your eye is the huge number of beautiful flower beds, quaint trees and interesting sculptures, among which there are monuments to famous people. Continuing to inspect Burgas, the sights of this magnificent city, you can go to one of the symbols of this locality - it's the Burgas Bridge, located next to the Marine Park. It starts on one of the busiest streets of the city - Bogorodi. The construction of the bridge dates back to the 19th century. Its length is 500 meters. From here you can see a magnificent panorama of the sea, the pier and the beach. In the evening there is the most beautiful, thanks to the multi-colored illumination.

Among the most interesting places you can note the many architectural structures that Burgas is famous for. Attractions include in its list such a unique building, as the Cathedral Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius. It rises near the market, in the central part of the city. It is one of the oldest temples here. All tourists are impressed by the majestic architecture of the facade and the dome. Very beautiful is his interior with beautiful paintings. The value of the temple is a carved wooden altar. Near the hotel "Bulgaria" is another unique architectural structure - the Armenian Church, which deserves attention. It is impossible not to mention such a monument as the fortress of Poros, which stretches not far from Bourgas.

However, not only architectural buildings are attractive in the city, there are a lot of interesting natural places, which Bulgaria is proud of. Bourgas, whose sights we are visiting, is famous for its lakes, among which are Burgas, Atanasovskoye and Madrenskoye. In the western part of the city is the largest natural lake in Bulgaria - Vaja.
