The concept of gradient manicure

The latest achievement of the industry of nail art - manicure in the technique of "ombre", or gradient manicure. Its essence lies in the fact that the nails are decorated with a kind of "pattern", consisting of a smooth transition of some color shades into others. These shades may be close to the color tonality, but may also be opposed to each other. The main thing here is in the transitions of flowers without sharp boundaries. Those. Gradient manicure - it's not the stripes of red, yellow and green, but as if flowing into each other. Traditionally, nails are painted in the sequence "dark-lighter-light", if three varnishes are taken, or "dark-light", if two. Theoretically, everyone understands what gradient manicure is? Then we turn to practice.

Technique of application

In any case, non-standard approach and creative thinking are important . Here you, if you want to learn how to masterfully do a gradient manicure to yourself and your friends, you need to forget about the usual brushes in bottles with varnish and arm yourself with a completely non-cosmetic "tool" - a foam sponge or a piece of fine porous foam rubber, a bit larger than your fingernail. But that's not all. Since there are several techniques, each of them has its own tools: foil, toothpicks, etc. Now we will explain in detail what, how and why.

Technique 1

You will need:

  • Colorless varnish (as a base) or lacquer base;
  • Varnishes ottenochnye close colors (green, grassy, lime);
  • Sponge, cotton wool on matches or cotton swabs;
  • Foil (it is possible from chocolate, only straightened);
  • Liquid, clearing from varnish.

Gradient manicure at home is done like this:

  1. To begin with, we carry out sanitary-hygienic procedures for hands: washing, removing old make-up, baths, processing cuticles, shaping nails, applying cream.
  2. To smooth the surface of the nail plates, they are covered with a base varnish (colorless). The same purpose is served by "smart enamel" and other medical-cosmetic means.
  3. How to make a gradient manicure? The main secret: on the foil is applied closely on the layer of each varnish (from dark to light), dipping the sponge in your "rainbow" and applying a sharp movement to the nail, press it so that the varnish is in good contact with its surface. And then imprint it with patting movements of the same sponge.
  4. For the saturation effect and the brightness of the tone, repeat the procedure in full. And so with each finger, adjusting the result that you get.
  5. As you can see, not only your fingernails, but your fingers will be painted. Simply dip a cotton swab or cotton wool into the nail polish remover and gently, carefully brush your hands. Only do not damage the manicure!
  6. Now, once again, put in the transparent lacquer. And your amazingly beautiful, festive elegant marigolds will taste to you and others!

Technique 2

In many respects this method resembles the first, there are only some technical nuances. How to prepare your hands, nails - you already know. Next, water the sponge (suitable and cosmetic sponge). Then it should be applied with varnishes, with which you want to cover your nails. This is done in several layers. Check the result on paper. Liked? Then another time, "stamp" the paper, and when on the very sponge the borders between the varnishes are washed, add the coloring material and apply it to the nails. Remove surplus. And the marigolds with a superfashionable decor to complete the painting, paint with a clear varnish or fixer.

Engineering 3

Two contrasting varnishes are selected from one color palette: the darkest and lightest. We need 3 pallets, but foil also suits their role. Now "chemist": in each pallet we drip 4 drops of dark and work gradation. In the pallet No. 1 is added 1 drop of light, in No. 2 - 2, in No. 3 - 3 drops. Toothpicks mix each experimental color well. And now we paint over: the thumb is the darkest, the little finger is the lightest, and the remaining 3 - from the pallet, in gradation. Experiment, try, create. The result will be amazingly beautiful and very interesting.
