Overseas guest

Dust brush - duster - as it is called in Western countries, where it came to us, fights dust, not only at the expense of small villi that sweep away its particles. At its core are simple physical laws. The number of hairs in her is huge, and all of them accumulate a negative static charge of electricity, and since the dust charge is positive, it instantly "clings" to the hairs and remains on them until the end of harvesting. Thus, it is enough just to brush on contaminated surfaces and all the dirt will remain on the brush.

Delicate thin villi do not harm delicate surfaces and envelop small details of furniture, appliances and other household items.

The brush has a long service life, it is easy to clean and can be repeatedly washed. It easily changes its volume, so it can with equal success to clean large spaces and small slits - for example, behind furniture, while you will not directly contact dust. Fuzzy colorful brush allows you to clean as conveniently, hygienically and economically.

A rich choice

Even such a seemingly simple thing has its own varieties:

  • The feather brush is made from the feathers of an ostrich or from goose or even chicken feathers. Of course, the most effective, convenient and resistant to washing the first option, but it is quite expensive. Tools made from the pen of a goose or chicken are much cheaper, but less durable and effective.
  • Brush with synthetic villi - the most common option. It is inexpensive, long and easy to clean.
  • A microfiber bristle brush is an "improved" version of a brush with simple fibers, as microfiber has even more fine fibers that effectively capture dirt and dust.
  • Brush rotating - runs on batteries and eliminates the need to rotate the brush. All you need for cleaning - just bring it to a dusty surface.

For greater convenience, it is worth getting a telescopic handle for the brush, which will reach out to any hard-to-reach places with the slightest effort.

Dust brush: instructions for use

To use this tool for cleaning it is most efficient to find out how to work with it properly.

A new dust brush is usually wrinkled from storage in a dense film package. Shake it well and rotate it in the air - it will straighten the hairs and give them the right volume.

After that, the dust brush is ready for use. But that the dust and flew to meet it, it must be additionally "charged". To do this, take any plastic bag, wrap their hand and vigorously rub the brush while rotating it. This will quickly lead to the accumulation of a static electricity charge on the villi. As soon as they stand on end, the dusting brush will be "charged".

Now just wipe the surfaces with it and observe how the dirt itself is attracted to the villi.

Uneasy tasks

Around small objects or things with a lot of details - for example, figurines, a brush can be worked with accurate rotational movements. And on large flat surfaces it can simply be pressed to them and moved in a straight line.

A brush for removing dust can clean and small cuts and grilles on the technique or furniture - for this, insert the villi on its upper end into the holes and vigorously move them.

Do not forget that houseplants also require regular cleaning. Use light rotational movements in one fell swoop to clean the bottom and top of the leaves, as well as the stem.

To fix the hoods and ceiling fans, use the telescopic handle, which will allow them to reach without wobbly stools.

Please note that the dust brush in the charged state is not suitable for cleaning delicate equipment. For example, it is not advisable to subject the computer parts inside the case to static electricity. Therefore, wait until the villi come to normal condition or specially charge them before use.

After cleaning

Like any tool to achieve cleanliness in the house, the dust brush requires cleaning after its use. But this process is quite simple. You just need to shake it vigorously on the street or above the trash can. This movement leads to a loss of static charge, and all the dust flies off the villi. Over time, this may not be enough - if you notice that the bright bristle has faded, then just rinse the brush under the water with a non-aggressive detergent. Wait until it completely dries and then you can start cleaning again.
