Adler Thermal Power Station. New thermal power plant in Sochi

About energy shortage in the Krasnodar Territory is known for a long time. Four CHP plants built in this region are not able to provide such a large subject of Russia with electricity. Especially there is a shortage of energy in Sochi. This large resort town is provided with electricity only by a quarter. But in fact very soon in Sochi will come the Olympics, whose energy needs are an order of magnitude greater. To correct this complicated energy situation, Adler Thermal Power Station was built.

The new TPP of the Krasnodar Territory was laid in 2009. This construction was part of the plan approved by the Russian government, according to which Sochi will eventually become an international ski resort. According to the plan, Adler CHP will become the main energy source not only for Sochi, but also for the areas adjacent to the city. Its capacity is enough to warm all houses in the Sochi region, as well as most of the Olympic facilities.

Two power units of the thermal power plant per hour will produce 360 MW of electric power and 227 Gcal of heat energy. Advanced technologies used in the construction of thermal power plants will reduce the number of personnel serving the station. Employees, divided into three shifts, will serve the facility around the clock. At the same time, only 65 people will join each shift.

Adler Thermal Power Plant was located near the city of Adler, while occupying 9.89 hectares. Taking into account the seismic activity of this zone, the engineers gave the thermal power plant increased resistance to underground tremors. However, the most innovative is the cooling system of TPPs. Due to the critical water deficit, the station's power units will be cooled by a closed cycle system. Thanks to dry fan cooling towers, the thermal power plant will not pollute the atmosphere with greenhouse gases. Is it necessary to mention that the most solid and high-quality materials were used for construction?

Work Adler Thermal Power Station will be on the most environmentally friendly fuel - natural gas. This station will be supplied by the gas pipeline connecting Sochi, Lazarevskoye and Dzhubga, which serves the entire Black Sea coast of Russia.

Attention was paid not only to performance and safety, but also to the appearance of the station. Adlerskaya TPP will seamlessly fit into the surrounding landscape, and the territory of the thermal power plant will resemble a park with beautiful lawns and avenues. The very first alley from the Himalayan cedars was planted in 2009, during the ceremony of laying the station.

In addition to the construction of a new TPP, it is also planned to develop the existing power stations in the Sochi district. All energy facilities in the district must be renovated and improved. At full capacity, which will exceed the existing several times, Sochi power stations will be out by 2014.

In addition to the Adler thermal power plant, the number of thermal power plants in Russia will be increased by the Dzhubga power plant, which also uses modern technologies. Power Dzhubginskaya TPP will be 180 MW. "Olympic Wave" will cover not only Sochi, but the entire Krasnodar Territory. In addition to energy, high technology will be used in other areas. So, already under construction station of Anapa will receive energy not from the general power network, but from solar batteries.
