In two years, Richard moved with his parents to Heston (a suburb of London). His father worked at Heathrow, the airport of London. He worked in a brigade, laying stripes for aircraft. My mother had a small own shop.

At school, Richie studied without diligence, and in the sport achieved a lot. Most of all he managed to swim and push the nucleus, but still it turned out throwing a spear. In connection with the serious achievements in the sport, Richard wanted to be included in the England team, but he did not pass by age.

How Richie Blackmore's passion for music

In the late 50's. In London the musical life was boiling. Thanks to television, which began broadcasting the first pop show, Richie Blackmore first heard rock'n'roll. Most of all he was impressed by the performance of guitarist Tommy Stahl. Blackmore immediately lent a friend a guitar for a while and tried to start playing. And although nothing immediately happened, he realized that this is his passion.

The first steps to fame

After some time, his father gave him a second-hand acoustic guitar, which he bought for seven pounds. First Richie year studied the classical game, studying the basic rules. It was Richie Blackmore's first guitar. Most blues guitarists played with only three fingers. Richie learned to use all ten.

Over time, Blackmore remade his first musical instrument under an electric guitar, adding a column and amplifier. With the help of his brother's friends he became acquainted with Jim Sullivan, who was considered one of the most authoritative guitarists of the 60s. Grinding skill, Richie practiced for six hours every day. During this time, he developed his own unique style, combining rock and classics.

The first Blackmore speeches and the creation of his group

The first ensemble, in which Blackmore played, was organized in 1960. At this time Richie worked as a radio mechanic at Heathrow Airport. After accumulating money, he bought a new electric guitar for 22 pounds and worked with the local band for a while. Then I decided to create my own team. This was the first group of Richie Blackmore, which he created.

Since school time, Blackmore has been friends with Mick Underwood, who had a real drum set. He invited him to his band as a drummer. Then he recruited the other participants. The group did not last long and soon broke up. After that, along with Mick Richie joined the group The Satellites.

In May 1961, Ritchie Blackmore saw the announcement of the vacancy of the guitarist in one of the popular bands called The Savages. There he first met David Satch, whom he later often crossed into work. At the audition, he came with his girlfriend and father. But, despite the obvious talent and virtuosic passages, Richie's group was not taken because he was only 16 years old. A year later, Blackmore still took in The Savages. Despite his young age, Richie already had his fans. The band spent several months on tour in Australia and Scandinavia. Combining work with show business has become increasingly difficult, and Richie resigned in 1963.

Growing fame of Richie Blackmore

In 1965, Richie was invited to work for The Crusaders. It was headed by singer Neil Christian. Before Blackmore appeared, the guitarist in the band was Phil McPill. But before the appearance of Richie, he disappeared without a trace. Blackmore worked in the group for a short while and returned to The Savages. But he did not stay there either because of his heightened relations with leader David Satch. Ritchie Blackmore left the band in three months. He was followed by bass player Avis Anderson and drummer Tornado Evans.

All three went on a temporary tour in Germany with another group. After the contract was over, they stayed in Germany and started performing at the music club in Bochum, forming their own band, which they called the "Three Musketeers". But after the time administration ceased to like noisy performances, and the contract with the musicians was dissolved. In the spring, all three returned to England. After the arrival of Richie wrote a song that hit the 14th place of the hit parade. The glory of Richie began to grow. He was talked about not only as a virtuoso guitarist, but also as a composer.

The Blackmore Depression Period

After returning to England, Richie stayed there for long. He again decided to return to the FRG and changed several groups there. But, disappointed, seeing that this can continue indefinitely, and there is no progress, guitarist Richie Blackmore decided to interrupt his musical career indefinitely.

During the day, he walked aimlessly around the streets of Hamburg, in the evenings he played scales in his hotel room, preparing for the final exam at the conservatory, which he entered a few years ago. In 1967, Richie returned to England, passed examinations at the Conservatory, received a diploma and again went to Germany.

The return of Blackmore to the musical world

Back in the FRG, Richie Blackmore spent his days honing his skills. This continued until he received a telegram from London with a proposal to join Deep Purple and accepted the invitation. This group soon became one of the most famous, and Richie began to be called the grim and incomprehensible king of hard rock guitar.

Richie's style was different for his personality. According to him, during the concert he does not listen to other guitarists, dissolving in the sounds of his own instrument. Apparently, the unusual style of playing Richie was influenced by his love of string music (and specifically performed on the violin and cello). An important role was played by the education received at the conservatory. But Richie felt uncomfortable in the group, he seemed to lack something, and after a while the musician left her.

Secret dreams

Biography Richie Blackmore abounds in a variety of groups, from which he left and again returned. One of them was Deep Purple, which he left in 1975. Blackmore left for New York and invited several musicians from the group "Elf" to organize their own team. They agreed and called their Rainbow team. In the same year, the band released their first album. And after a while in the Rainbow began to arise internal conflicts.

In an interview, Blackmore admitted that, after leaving Deep Purple, he wanted to create something new where he could breathe easier. As a result, he was again in the same strain, from which he tried to escape. And in connection with the growing popularity of Rainbow, it only intensified.

Richie shared with reporters and his desires. It turned out that at home he most often listens to Bach. Richie would like to play classical music, but at concerts it seems boring. There is not enough in it for a bit of joy, a sense of celebration. And in rock'n'roll it is present. He dreamed of creating something in between, a new direction, but not yet.

A new round of music from Blackmore

Richie left Rainbow and for some time periodically returned to the groups in which he spoke earlier. Despite the successes achieved, in 1997 he decided to create a new project Blackmore's Night together with his wife. The idea arose thanks to the music that Richie heard during his tour of Germany. A group of musicians played medieval music on old instruments. The musical ear of Richie Blackmore helped him to find the highlight that was required to create a musical masterpiece.

In the home studio, he himself recorded all the parts of the keyboard, percussion, etc. As a result, an unusual album was produced. An original cocktail from different medieval music, in which there is passion, romanticism, pathetic and mysticism with the addition of sounds of electric and acoustic guitars, string old melodies and the charming voice of Blackmore's wife performing songs. The project still does not lose its attractiveness.
