About the political situation

Vyacheslav Ivanovich believes that the current political situation is rooted in the past. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the political elite experienced euphoria from the warming of relations, in fact it was a temporary calm before the storm. Western countries assigned the place of Russia as the second violin, while the state elite and the country itself positioned themselves in a different way. In his interview to the TV channel "Russia 24" Trubnikov notes that our country has a rich history, we have something to be proud of, and we are by right equal partners in the relationship. The main missed opportunity of that period is the inadequate alignment of relations with the eastern countries.

About exploration

Trubnikov, Vyacheslav Ivanovich, considers reconnaissance as an art, and at the everyday level as a craft. He claims that intelligence is an instrument. For the Russian Federation, it serves as a test of relations, helps to understand with whom to build relationships, and with whom it is not necessary. In the interview, he also compared scouts and journalists, mentioning that they are looking for a source of information, but using different tools. The former head of intelligence divides the scouts into ordinary and talented people, arguing that in this case, creativity, in-depth analysis and unconventional thinking are necessary.

On the theory of mass conspiracy

Trubnikov, Vyacheslav Ivanovich, is sure that there can be no collusion between transnational corporations and other financial institutions. State intelligence of other countries does not work for the financial elite. At the same time, large corporations have their own intelligence and lobby, which does not imply collusion.

Relationship to Snowden

A former scout claims that Snowden is not an agent of Russia, but he was helped out of humane motives. He considers him an idealist who fights alone with the whole system.

About East and Partnership

Trubnikov Vyacheslav Ivanovich spent a very long time on business trips in the East and knows firsthand about his culture. He notes that these countries are excellent partners and observe the conditions exactly as we observe, although they are more difficult negotiators than Western states.

About terrorism

As the former head of intelligence, Vyacheslav Ivanovich believes that terrorism must be fought in several directions. Not only to bomb the bases, but also to eliminate the cultivation of destructive elements on the territory of the Russian Federation. He believes that a terrorist appears where a normal person does not have a job. This is the problem of many countries, and before tackling this issue, it is necessary to give the general international concept of terrorism.

Future trends

In his recent speech, Vyacheslav Trubnikov noted that the basic vector of development is geo-economics. Next comes geopolitics. As an example, he cited the situation with India's partial purchase of military equipment from the United States, noting that we can not ensure the proper quality of products in all directions. Trubnikov called on the political and financial elite of Russia to pay more attention to the quality of their products and to analyze in advance the needs of our key partners.
