At the corners of history: abandoned houses

Abandoned houses are a grain of history, storing in themselves memories of their former masters. Like lost sheep waiting for their shepherd, they dream about the day when they spark the spark of life. When in the half-ruined rooms there will be a child's laughter, and in the yard a mother dog will bark. Alas, this rarely happens. But about everything in order, because every story has its beginning and its end.

Time is a ruthless reaper

When you look at the abandoned old house, the question arises involuntarily: "Who was its owner?" And this is quite justified interest, because every such court contains a lot of fascinating stories. Some of them are sad, others, on the contrary, full of joy. But there is one thing that unites them all: they are all in the past.

Abandoned houses are monuments, inanimate witnesses of the past years, submissively waiting for their verdict. And time does not spare them, it is only for owners to leave their home, as traces of destruction immediately appear on the walls of the house. At first they are barely noticeable, but after a year, the second one is easy to see even from afar.

The epoch of megacities

Previously, life in the villages was boiling. Not surprisingly, because there were all the conditions for this: work, fertile land and loyal friends. In addition, in the times of the Soviet Union, each village had its own tractor brigade, which worked for the benefit of the Fatherland. In addition, poultry factories, mills and small factories were built that could feed those who were far from mechanization. And there were no problems with leisure, because the cultural houses worked regularly, and the festivals of folk art were regularly held at clubs. Unfortunately, that time has passed.

With the collapse of the USSR, life in the countryside began to decline, the tractor brigades were closed, the factories were demolished, and the mills were transferred to private ownership. Who was smarter, immediately moved to the city, and the rest met, cherishing the hope that in the future everything will change. But over the years it got worse. It seemed that the more the megacity develops, the worse it becomes to live in the countryside.

And now abandoned houses in the villages have become the norm, because young people do not want to stay here for long. As for the elderly, every year they become less and less. Together with them, the Russian village dies.

Ghost communities

But such a disaster is not only found on the territory of Russia. Abandoned houses can be found in all corners of the globe. Moreover, it is sometimes possible to stumble upon even abandoned cities with hundreds, and that and thousands of empty apartments and houses. And every such place has its own history, which has become the cause.

So, I want to talk about Kennicott, a small mining community in Alaska. At the beginning of the XX century it was a settlement where people earned minerals from rare minerals. Many dreamed to settle here and meet old age in a nice wooden house. But closer to 1950, the ore stock was exhausted, and with it financial support from outside. Ten years later, Kennicott became a ghost village, forgotten and useless to anyone. At the end of the last century it was turned into a museum, which gave the place a second chance at life.

Another example is the infamous Chernobyl. After the explosion at the nuclear reactor, the city of Pripyat lost all its inhabitants. Thousands of dwellings have become uninhabitable, and only the wind and rare beasts are now visiting the streets of the once busy city. In 2011, 40 years after the accident, Pripyat was opened for tourists. It a little revived her, but still the atmosphere of despair has not left Chernobyl.

Who owns the abandoned houses?

An abandoned house can be a profitable purchase, because if the owners do not take care of it, then they do not need it. Therefore, you can buy such a house quite cheaply. But how are these operations carried out?

Initially, one important point needs to be understood: whether it's an abandoned house in a forest or in a metropolis, he always has an owner. Therefore, the first thing you need to find him and then take further action. Help in this matter can the relevant authorities involved in real estate registrations.

If there are living heirs, then the right of sale is in their hands, and all negotiations must be conducted with them. If there are none, then the house passes under the supervision of the local government, and all issues can be resolved through it.

Who are interested in abandoned buildings?

Naturally, in most cases, vacant property is interesting to potential buyers or agencies. After all, this is an opportunity to purchase a land plot at a bargain price, and sometimes, if it's a ghost village, then the whole village is demolished.

But there is another category of people that seeks not material benefit, but spiritual. Many fans of extreme tourism like to explore abandoned houses in order to gain new sensations. So to say, look behind the curtain of the mystery, which is stored in the walls of the empty building.

And the first and second by their actions do not let the forgotten houses finally emptied. After all, a rare guest is much better than complete oblivion!
