Are there any starfish in Bulgaria?

Starfish are some of the most amazing creatures that hide ocean depth. They got their name thanks to the five-pointed form of the body, which is interesting because it always maintains perfect purity. Tiny leaflets on the surface of the skin discard the smallest pieces of debris, so that this creature does not contaminate the skin gills.

By way of reproduction, starfish are sexless and sexually-consumed. The first can be divided into 2 and 3 "rays", which then grow another 3-2 processes, respectively. Some species can separate one part, on which grows 4 processes. In others, the offspring can grow in the stomach, in a special sac near the mouth or just on the back. They feed on the stars with crustaceans, other echinoderms and mollusks, demonstrating amazing power when opening the shells of the latter.

Starfish can be of a very different color. Amur samples, for example, bluish with white patterns, genritions - beige or red. And the evaderies - one of the largest - have a red and blue pattern and a "diameter" of up to 0.7 meters. They have a very interesting vision - they are distinguished from day to night by special cells located at the tip of each ... foot.

The beautiful appearance of this animal contributes to the fact that many establishments, including hotels, often take on such names. So, for example, the boarding house "Starfish", situated in the new part of the Bulgarian town of Sozopol, acted.

A small disappointment from the rest on the Black Sea may be that the starfish are not found in it. This is due to the reduced salinity of water in this area. But in the region there are many natural beauties of a different plane, which, undoubtedly, are worth seeing.
