Lacquer application technique

The yacht varnish is applied by brush, roller, ordinary spray. The temperature regime for operation is 15-35 ° С, relative humidity is not higher than 80%. The average drying time is 4 hours. Varnish must be mixed well before use. If it is too thick, then dilute with white spirit. The surface to be coated must be cleaned, thoroughly degreased with a special mixture containing solvent, after which the prepared wood should dry completely. The first layer is primed with lacquer, previously diluted with a solvent of 20%. Further, the undiluted composition is already used. A new layer can only be applied on a dry surface. The recommended number of layers is three. Yacht lacquer can be used to cover the surfaces already painted with alkyd or alkyd-urethane materials. To do this, it is recommended that a small area be tested first to check the compatibility of the coatings. Increase the strength of the varnish will help surface treatment before applying the next layer of fine-grained sandpaper. When drying, do not allow drafts, protect the painted surfaces from direct sunlight. All work should be carried out in a well-ventilated area. The rest of the varnish in the toilet is not drained.
