Many experts say that the first film reporter was the famous Russian writer Maxim Gorky. Honestly, the version is difficult to perceive, because Alexei Peshkov (the true name and surname of this writer) hardly had much free time to create his beautiful works, which he could use for the shooting of film reports.

The version of "Maxim Gorky" to answer the question: "Who was the first film reporter?" Of course, it may turn out to be quite correct, because this version finds the greatest support among film historians. Only now there is not a single film, in the credits of which the information is indicated, that this person was involved in the creation of the picture (and the first pictures were in their format and duration practically similar to modern reporting in news programs). Or maybe the French?

As you know, the movie cameras created the legendary French - the Lumiere brothers. According to official sources, the invention was patented in 1896. A few months later, the first film screenings were organized in Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod). French operators came to Russia and filmed a movie about the coronation of Emperor Nicholas II. Why not consider them the first movie reporters?

Still it is possible to recollect the Kharkov photographer Fedetsk, who was the first of people of Slavic origin to shoot film shots. This person could also claim the primacy.

Probably the answer to the question; "Who was the first film reporter?" Already and remains unknown, because it is hardly worth hoping for the emergence of new facts.
