Who needs the "Slavic swastika"?

Swastika is one of the most ancient symbols. It occurs even on Neolithic artifacts, which are more than 25,000 years old. It can be seen in the history of most of the planet's cultures, from Lapland to Japan. At the beginning of the twentieth century, interest in the swastika revived along with the popularity of esotericism, from where it moved to politics. In our time, this ancient symbol is experiencing another boom in popularity, even the definition of "Slavic swastika". That's about it and will be discussed in this article.

Meanings of the word

The word "swastika" is of Sanskrit origin and consists of two roots - "su" and "asti", denoting good and life, respectively. Freely it can be translated as "well-being" or "well-being". In other nations, this sign was called otherwise, for example, the Greeks called it the four letters - "gamma" or "gammadion." And for Buddhists it is "manzi" (whirlwind). The importance of swastikas for different cultures and peoples is not the same.

Slavic swastika. Value

The most common meaning of the swastika is the solar sign. That is the symbol of the sun, its movement over the sky and the division of the year into four seasons. Accordingly, the associated well-being, fertility and similar positive aspects.

It is in this sense that modern Slavophiles consider the supposedly primordially Slavic sign invented by them and included in the "Symbols of the Slavs and the Aryans". Meanwhile, the meaning of this sign is many.

This is the designation of the life force, like "yin-yan" (depending on the direction of the sign), and the symbol of indestructible brotherhood, and the talisman of the ability of a man to bear childbirth, and much more. Did the ancient Slavic swastika, or, as now it is called, call the "Kolovrat", "Perunovo wheel," and so on? It is the sun that is hard to say. The sign was often used in ornaments and patterns, but whether it was given some mystical significance, is not known for certain. With certainty, we can only say that neither our "swastika" nor "Kolovrat" (a word of any Slavic origin) our ancestors never mentioned this sign.

Why the "Slavic swastika" is needed

When this sign appeared and what significance this sign had for our ancestors, let the historians reason. But why it is resurrected now and endowed with a special significance for the Slavs - it is, perhaps, interesting and simple man.

The answer is trite simple, because the "Slavic swastika" grew on the same soil as the "Nazi". Yes, it was the desire to become attached to the ancient culture of the Aryans and was the main motive for the election of the swastika as a symbol of the movement in both the first and second cases. Why is this necessary ?! It's simple. When there is nothing to offer, they start to invent ideas such as uniting a nation, saving a culture, protecting from non-Russians, and the like. Of course, it's nice to realize that the history of your people has deep roots, but it hardly has any special significance for how many years it is deeper than that of a neighbor. What does it change? Do the wisdom and knowledge of our ancestors at least somehow influence our crazy actions today? Would Ancient Rome have been proud of its descendants if it had known the future? However, this does not prevent the descendants of the quirits from being proud of their past. Perhaps it does not matter how many thousands of years of Russian culture, for even over the past two hundred years, its contribution to world culture is enormous. Maybe it's worth doing real and stop shaking old bones? Maybe it's worth doing something now, what will the descendants be proud of, if at all?
