What is the intestinal microflora?

The human body is a complex of interconnected links, the rupture of one of which leads to an imbalance in everything. Very often it seems to people that some things that occur in the body do not have any weight. This is a deep delusion, because any symptom is a cry for help.

For example, do you think - is the skin's microflora important? Many now will think that this is stupid, because the skin is a protective organ, which means, what difference does it make over the microflora. In fact, every microbe that lives on the surface of our body and inside us is of great importance, because it is its presence or absence that can cause or prevent the disease.

All microorganisms on the surface of the human skin exist in mutually beneficial cohabitation until the pathogens become more than useful. On the skin, there are normally millions of bacteria: gram-positive, gram-negative, aerobic and anaerobic, but they are all harmless until a certain point.

That is why it is so important to properly comply with personal hygiene measures. However, be careful, because when you cleanse the skin, you wash off all the bacteria (including useful ones). It must be remembered that it is very difficult for a weakened organism to maintain a microflora at a normal level, let alone produce a new one, so that if immunosuppression occurs, a disease can occur. Accordingly, it is not recommended to take a shower too often.

The normal human microflora is not only the balance of skin microbes, it is also the optimal combination of microorganisms in the intestine. Scientists have calculated that in the lumen of the thin and thick sections of the human intestine contains more than 2 kilograms of microorganisms, which ensure the optimal operation of the digestive tract.

It should be noted that in the human body in the constant struggle are pathogenic and useful microbes. This means that under the influence of unfavorable factors the quantity of useful microorganisms in the intestine decreases sharply, and the pathogenic ones begin to multiply rapidly - the disease is formed.

The intestinal microflora is rich in useful bifido- and lactobacilli, which strengthen peristalsis, prevent the development of constipation, and help digestion. In addition, in the lumen of the intestine, a small amount of E. coli, anaerobes, staphylococci, streptococci, candida and proteas can be detected. These microorganisms are safe until their concentration exceeds the number of useful microbes.

If the intestinal microflora changes toward pathogenic, then a process called "dysbacteriosis" is formed. Doctors are very much debating about this condition, but it does not lose its importance. So, what reasons can lead to a decrease in the number of beneficial microbes in the intestine?

  1. Change in the acidity of the medium.
  2. Reducing the amount of digestive juices.
  3. Atony of the intestine.
  4. Rigid diets.
  5. Parasitic infestations.
  6. Prolonged intake of antibacterial drugs.
  7. Eradication of Helicobacter pylori infection.
  8. The use of cytostatics and large doses of hormones.
  9. Immunodeficiency conditions.
  10. Prolonged intake of alcohol and drugs.

Thus, the intestinal microflora is very susceptible to external influences, so it is necessary to constantly maintain the balance of microorganisms in the intestine. It is quite easy to do this. It is necessary to comply with diet, exercise and not take medication without consulting a doctor.

Sour-milk products are very good support flora of the intestines, so they are best used daily. Remember that alcohol kills useful microbes, and accordingly, makes your body vulnerable to pathogens.

The intestinal microflora needs periodic updating, therefore, for the prevention of dysbiosis, you can use the drugs "Linex", "Bifiform" or "Lactovit forte."
