Diagnostic method - Sensory gastric

The stomach is probed to extract the contents, followed by examination of the stomach functions. In particular, motor and secretory functions. Let's start with a list of contraindications.

  • Ulceration or inflammation of the mouth, pharynx.
  • Gastric and esophageal bleeding.
  • Violation of the patency of the esophagus.
  • Stomach ulcers.
  • Cardiovascular diseases.

Receive such contents after a test meal or on an empty stomach. The procedure itself consists in suctioning (aspiration) of the contents of the stomach and / or duodenum (duodenum), by means of a special probe. Then the received contents are sent for examination to the laboratory.

Sensing the stomach

  • As the day before, and the day of the procedure, the patient refrains from smoking.
  • One day before the sounding, all medicines are canceled.
  • Gastric Sounding Is performed on an empty stomach. 14 hours before the beginning, the reception is completely stopped.
  • If the patient has dental removable dentures, they need to be removed.

One-stage gastric gastric massage

It is carried out by a thick probe, the length of which is about 80 cm. There are two holes on the rounded end. This method is simple and well-accessible technically, but, being uninformative, it is practically not used today for diagnostic purposes. In this case, a thick probe is used when carrying out gastric lavage and other medical procedures.

Probing gastric fractional

Perform a thin probe for diagnostic purposes. The rubber tube (probe) is thin, reaching half a meter in length. Such a probe, without provoking a vomiting reflex, can be in the stomach if necessary for more than two hours. Thus, the goal is to track and investigate secretory functions over time. The gastric end without the olive is rounded and has two holes. At a distance of 50 and 70 centimeters from this end there are marks. For the introduction of a thin probe, active patient care is necessary.

  • The probe is administered on an empty stomach mainly in the sitting position.
  • The end of the probe is placed on the root of the tongue. The patient's breathing is deep and he makes unhurried swallowing movements.
  • The patient tries to sit, tilting his head forward.
  • The first label indicates that the probe reaches the bottom of the stomach, and the second that it has reached the area of the gatekeeper.
  • For complete extraction of the contents, the tip of the probe should get into the distal section, that is, penetrate approximately 50 to 60 centimeters from the edge of the teeth. You can focus on the growth of the patient, introducing the probe to the depth - "minus one hundred centimeters from the height of the patient's growth."
  • The tip of the probe is fixed with a clamp on the patient's outer clothing. Thus, an obstacle is created for penetration into the duodenum.
  • A syringe is put on the opposite end of the probe. With its help, the contents of the stomach are extracted.

When the stomach is probing, the juice in the stomach is completely pumped out. Over the next hour, the collection of gastric contents is made, evaluating the basal secretion. Further, the secretion is stimulated by the administration of histamine or pentagastrin. After stimulation for an hour every fifteen minutes, portions of gastric juice are extracted . They are examined by visual, biochemical, microscopic methods.

Blind Sensing

The goal is to rinse the bile ducts, the gall bladder, and also discharge the liver. It is very important for patients who have had hepatitis. Such sounding increases the outflow of bile to the intestine, while accelerating its motor activity.

  • In the morning, a glass of warm water is drunk on an empty stomach.
  • After half an hour a special cholagogue breakfast is taken.
  • To drink a glass of warm tea.
  • Lying on the left side, a warm water bottle is applied to the liver area.
  • After hiding, lie so for an hour and a half.
  • After completion, perform light exercises and then you can eat.

hint

Blind probing is also recommended in the presence of a specialist.
